From what I've seen, those kind of applications had already UCI numbers so probably of applicants who studied here or had previous IEC /Worker visas so their details were already in the system and they previously supplied a lot of data which obviously would make it faster for the relevant...

I would get in touch with CIC and request the case notes. Did they just say he didn't meet the requirements or was there more in the letter by CIC? Did you provide your marriage certificate, proof of funds, letter by your employer, payslips etc?

Have you still not got your OWP? If not, I would ring CIC as you should have had it by now

You don't have to wait for the extension to come through to resubmit your application. Attach your payment receipt with a letter of explanation that you applied for your stay to get extended and send it off

Correct but as she has stated her bf and her want to get married in May so she could do the spousal route while still working as a live-in caregiver, therefore she wouldn't need to apply for an OWP unless she wants to work at something completely different then obviously she would need to choose.

Received my OWP in the mail today. Restrictions to training and sex work. Gckey still shows as medical passed for PR but no further update. How long does it take for them to start the Background check?
