Thank you Zmaqsood. I'm just quite anxious for the test date as I want to finish the exam before my baby pops-out. I'm due in June, hopefully my exam date is end of this month or first week of May

Calgary is already booked until May end. They send out invites soon but test happens at quite later date. E.g. people who got test invites in March got test dates of end april and May. So probably now they will start inviting for End may and June

But u can alwaye request reschedule of ur test. Nothing is more important than ur baby

I applied in November 2018. Received AOR in January and in process on Feb 5. Received a Fingerprint request today from the scarborough office. However, my wife did not. What does this mean? Is this a routine request? The letter says something about name match in RCMP records?

Thank you! I am just curious what triggers this FP for soneone without any negative record. I know many friends who did not receive any such requests in the past. So it was quite surprising. I am assuming it’s random, but would be interested in knowing the thoughts of others in the forum.

I think it is random or if you have a really common name

I received invitation for test by e-mail on Monday 8 April. Please update SS accordingly. Test will be in Scarborough. ECAS:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 26, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 31, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on February 5, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on April 5, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on April 26, 2019 at 11:46 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us

It happens if your name is common. I got mine in PR and again yesterday. It says the same staff on papers 2 and 3. scary staff indeed .

Just update:
FingerPrint request sent(Via email) on march 7 done on Mar 11
Today I called and they confirmed received on March 20th.
Agent said background check is done, next step is test invitation which depends on local office's rush/backlog.

I am seeing many Calgary applicants get test invitations but Vancouver is slower.

Crossing fingers to get the invitation sooner as I'm planning to relocate to Singapore for a job offer after mid May.

Question: How long does it take usually to receive confirmation of the test date from processing start date?

7 weeks exactly for me but Calgary has since speed up a bit. I am August applicant.
