People are getting upset with each other on here over foolish things. Guys we have to remember that knowone in this forum can make a decision on an application. So it doesn't make sense to take out frustrations here.

I hope everyone thats waiting on test gets an invite real soon. November applicants need to sit tight because we are only 4-5 months in a 12 months process.

People can be so passive aggressive here, I’ve noticed. And isn’t the point of the tracker to make sense of our timeline aka wait times? From that tracker, you can gauge how a “normal” application should be moving along. If you see other application from the same city as you moves quite faster than yours, it tells you to be a bit concerned since your application can be a non-routine or your case worker works much slower than others. I just wish we have our case worker’s email to ask for updates so all the waiting will be more tolerable.

Friends ,here the forum to help and support each others but at the same time i am trying to be realistic person ,when i said that it takes sometimes few months to be DM i did not get it from me ,go and check sheet and you will see and it does not mean that something wrong with your file !! it is just depends on officer ,again and again ,i don't understand why people here think that should be standard for everyone !!!! ,as posted above ,it just passed 5 months for us,it still 7 months !!!!,you maybe get Citizenship before me or other applicant, but eventually all of us will get it ,it is just matter of the time ,nothing else ,that's all,i am so optimistic person but i am realistic person at the same time !! i can not understand how you did not take lesson from PR applications in the past !! how people at that time gto PR before others ,again i could happen tomorrow to be DM and hope that OR after awhile ,

  • WE CAN EXPECT ****TILL APRIL OR MAY ; TO BE ADDED IN CEREMONY , IF OUR FILE IS READY FOR THE SAME
    Find a citizenship ceremony

    Information
    1. This list is updated weekly.
    2. If you don’t see a ceremony listed for a province, territory, or city, check the Find our temporary offices page. There, you will find a list of additional ceremonies being considered in other areas.
    3. The times shown are the start times of the ceremonies. If you are going to the ceremony as a candidate to take the Oath of Citizenship, check your official invitation letter (Notice to Appear) for the location and the specific time you should arrive which could differ from the time listed on this page.
    4. Ceremonies are not all the same. Ceremonies that are "Open to the public" are subject to facility restrictions. In some locations/venues, the number of guests could be limited.
    5. A citizenship ceremony can be delivered in one of three different language formats: Bilingual, Predominantly English and Predominantly French. The format indicates the language of most remarks at that ceremony.

Without pr card I don’t think you can take your test. they check pr card before you take test. My advice would be to contact the call center and get their feedback as to the next steps... not sure but you may need to get a new passport and a pr card before you can appear for test. All the best
Thank you! I called the call centre, they asked me to file a report and take the file number to the test center and try to explain the situation to them.

They did let me write the test, as they only check a piece of id, and I provided my license. I cleared the test and during the verification, I tried to explain what happened. I was referred to another officer who understood my situation and said that since I do not have my passport, they will have to request the details of my entries and exits from the border control. And if what I mentioned matches, then my file will be good to go. However, if I missed out on any single travel date, then my application will be cancelled since I filed my application after completing 1098 days (leaving virtually no buffer at all)

Hopefully everything goes well. Fingers crossed

Is your local office Mississauga? Was your application urgent? As Brampton resident getting test invite so early is strange, But raises hope for others like me
It wasn’t urgent, but I was in Woodbridge when I filed it, and it went to Scarborough. Not sure if that has something to do with it. Because of all the moving and stuff, I lost it. I have turned every single item inside out but couldn’t locate it.

I never cared about the processing time, used to think it will be granted eventually and we were not in a hurry to have one. But our son just born on late Feb (2.5 months early than expected) , and seems it will be difficult to manage test/interview and oath with him around (I read in this forum they do not allow kid during test and may not allow during oath). As my M-in-law is here till May, I am wishing to have test and oath when she is around (I know, its too much to wish for).
Yes, I understand your situation. We can do one thing only, "Just wait and watch".

Please update my status:

Received request for fingerprints on March 25th (as captured online). Submitted fingerprints today 27th March at RCMP.

1.I applied from Surrey, but I have got the fingerprint request from IRCC, 200-877 Expo Blvd, Vancouver, BC. Does this mean the Vancouver office is processing my application and not the Surrey office?
2. Any tips on how long I should wait before calling the call centre?
3. Does IRCC update the status online saying that they have received the finger prints?

I tried calling CIC few times, every time when I select the option to talk to the agent it says we have more than expected calls, cannot take your call. and the call got disconnected, anybody else had the same experience. I completed the fingerprints on the 13th march was trying to follow up to confirm about receiving
