That’s not common though.
This is common ,my friend passed his test on March and his status became DM on the end of July ,if you don't believe me ,i could give you his phone number to ask him ,he is now Citizen ,another friend from Montreal ,his status became DM after 3 months of passing the test,i don't know why you think every case should be the same such standard for everyone ,you applied before for PR and you should know that many applicants got PR visa before others, the same thing here for Citizenship applications ,eventually you will get it but it is just time ,so nothing to worry about

Yeah my friend, everyone from us should has an experience with such types of these applications and with Canadian routines of processing ,we already applied for PR and we knew how many applicants struggled to get PR before others ,eventually all of us got it,the same thing here for Citizenship applications, one could get it early ,another applicant gets it lately, i work in governmental hospital and know very well how employee work ,for example: during my working day i don't like to have my lunch while see one patient is waiting outside, another DR does not care so much,he/she could schedule an appointment for these patients one month later ,imagine !!,the same thing here ,good luck for everyone .

They have started test invite for October applicants whose app went in IP on December 14, 2018; I checked from October Spread Sheet. They have not started test invite whose IP is after December 14, 2018. Let us see when will they invite us for test. Really Ottawa is very slow.
I never cared about the processing time, used to think it will be granted eventually and we were not in a hurry to have one. But our son just born on late Feb (2.5 months early than expected) , and seems it will be difficult to manage test/interview and oath with him around (I read in this forum they do not allow kid during test and may not allow during oath). As my M-in-law is here till May, I am wishing to have test and oath when she is around (I know, its too much to wish for).

I’m not saying I don’t believe you. I’m worried that it’s taking this long to have a DM because IMO, I have a pretty straight forward case. I’m a landed immigrant (FSW category that gave me a visa just 8 months in), single application, didn’t travel much, from an asian country and I applied 2 weeks after my 1095th day, 3.5 years ago.
