How do you know its review required when you don't have the notes? Did you call and an agent told you about the RR?

@Shweta1289 @Felix28824

My brother's eligibility has further review required. Still waiting for notes. Criminality in progress (We provided RCMP Clearance on May 22nd) and file has since not been touched yet. Security not started. They are saying, we are very busy and that could be the reason why they are taking time.
I guess they are trying to finalize 80% of the current applications and giving them the priority and the rest of the 20% are low priority.

The main reason behind these delays is that in time period of July 2018 to Jan 2019, Firstly they decreased the time to apply after ITA from 90 days to 60 days which rushed the number of applicants ... To make it worse, in that time only, they have increased ITAs from 7000 invitations to about 12000 (they started giving 3900 thrice a month) which did put on more pressure on the Visa processing officers... All this ended in Feb when they decreased it to 3350 ITA’s twice a month, making it only 6700 a month ... Therefore, it will take two to three more months to clear that mess and bring the things back to normal ... We all will be cleared in 2-3 months ...

So my friend in Canada... she applied under pnp ... Then she applied normal federal file which takes 18 months ... today she received the same response on completion of 18 months...”20% of files take more than normal” lol ... it is not just us

Hi All, my aor is 18 November and no updates till now except medical passed. This morning I checked my account and says background check is started. Does anyone have idea about the timeline of bg check. I can understand that it can take anytime but still on an average as per the experience?

have added mine, the only Pakistani Candidate :)

Also I want to say, the WAIT IS KILLING but a FAKE SMILE for the world is working.
Haha! It doesn't matter brother. Whether one is Pakistani, Indian, Mexican or Russian, we all are in the same boat. I have started studying for some exams that may help me get a job there to pass my time. All the best to you!

Congratulations!
Although, there is no specific timeline but if your BG has started after so many months then as per the trend you may get it within a week. All the best!

It seems as if many files that did not require a lot of work were left for the end to finalize. For example, many files that had eligibility met have not been touched for months, including mine. Let's hope for the best.
