Hi
I have been a silent visitor to this group for a while now.

Visa Type: FSW-O
AOR : 17 November
MEP: 21 December

And no updates ever since

I was getting anxious about it since only 8 days are left for the 6 month period to expire.

So I called up IRCC helpline through Skype. And after almost a 45 minute wait in queue I got through her.

A very polite lady indeed. She confirmed that my eligibility had been met on January 14th and my file had been passed to CPC Ottawa.
My security and background checks are currently taking place so everything looks in order. There has been no ADR as well.

Though she has said that due to backlogs of applications, the latest date by which I can expect a decision on my application is 11 July.

So I thought that this info can be of help to all of you
WHAAAAT??
Nov 17th AOR and they will take till July? this is crazy!

Hello everyone,
I have been a silent reader on this group for quite a while now and I must admit this group has been extremely helpful in staying positive and hopeful.. thanks a lot to each of you for that..
I just got the Ready for Visa mail this morning.. My timeline is as below:
AOR: 13th Nov
Mep: 14th Dec
No updates after that... Called CIC twice but they just told that eligibility review is in progress, the same that was shown on my account.
Got ghost update on 6th May (not sure of the date exactly as didn't check my account for 3-4 days).. status changed to: We are processing your background check..will let u know once it completes..
9th May, 6.47 am IST: GOLDEN EMAIL..

My heartiest congratulations to those who have already received their PPR and good luck to those who are yet yo receive it.. Cheers.!!

19 days left.
No update.
So heartbroken. Loosing all hopes as the deadline is coming near.
My husband will call tomorrow (Canada time).
He is presently at Canada, Toronto.
He is a student, studying at Schulich School Of Business, York University.
We applied from India and it's just been a week he has entered Canada.

Do u guys suggest we need to update CIC about it?
At the airport while entering his visa was checked and was asked if he has applied for PR to which he had said yes.
Would it be automatically updated that he has entered on student/work visa?

When we applied he was already studying at the India campus and had mentioned on the final year(which is now) he would be moving to Canada.

Please guide.

19 days left? Still A LOT of time imo. I got all my post MEP updates during the last week and then I exceeded the target date of completion (03May19) by 3 to 4 days before getting the mail. Just sit tight and be patient.

As to the update, lets lets for others with a better understanding to reply

@Curranberry thanks for sharing the information.. my AOR is also 17th November.. can you let me know what is your status online for background check? Is it showing as started or yet to start?

So I did get my PPR email today morning and I am very grateful to each and every member in this forum. I cannot imagine what I would have done without this forum. I was happy to see people sharing similar sentiments to me and I was quite inspired by a lot of posts and patience show by the members of this forum.

I ordered GCMS notes on the 29th March and nothing had started as of 1st April. I got this on 5th of May and felt a little low when I read the GCMS report.

I also spoke to an agent on Friday the 3rd May and he mentioned that they have not started working on my file yet. Again, this was another low point.

I kept telling myself that I fulfilled all the documentation that was listed and that it is just a matter of the IRCC team to start working on my file.

3 days later on the 8th of May, I logged into the IRCC website to found that the background checks have started. I saw this at 8am in the morning Singapore time and I wanted to ensure that this is not some weird dream.

So I logged into the application again after having a coffee around 10am, this time the application profile was updated (Ghost update!) without any actual changes.

I was hoping to get PPR by the end of this month and got an email around 10am today.

I got my PPR in exactly 5 months. I applied on December 8 and the ready for email visa is dated May 8.

It is extremely easy to advice people to stay strong and keep the faith, however, I recognize that it is incredibly hard to do.

One of my colleagues once gave me his thoughts and told me to focus on "what you can control and the rest is not really up to you". All we can do is provide satisfactory documentation and hope for your file to be picked ASAP.

If anyone needs anything please feel free to message me and I am happy to help in anyway I can.

I thank everyone in this group for their valuable thoughts.

Congratulations..

Wasn't it you who mentioned yesterday that ur application just moved to IP2?
I am again logged in from phone now so can't see ur signature..But I believe ur AOR was in Dec...

Congratulations once again! I would do the same if I was you :)

Just got PPR email. Went into a meeting room at work, closed the doors, looked towards the walls so that people don’t think I’m a weird dude and screamed my lungs out
I feel so happy for you sounds like something I would do congratulations

Just received the GCMS notes. Hard to figure out at which stage the application is. Towards the end, it says R10 OK for both us, and for one of us, it says Recommendation: Review Required. No mention of Eligibility/Criminality/Security... Surprisingly, all "Updated date" rows are dated Dec 2018. Am I checking it right? Does that mean no one has picked up my file after that.. and I am almost hitting the 190-day timeline now!

Also called IRCC yesterday. The representative said everything looks good on the application and we should hear from them soon. Any suggestions as what I should be looking at in GCMS notes or next course of action - maybe call them again?

AOR - 03 Nov 2018
