I just spoke with a call center agent and he said my eligibility was marked "review required" on April 23 for a "discrepancy" in education and work experience. He could not give me any more details but he said my file is in queue for an officer. Could anyone give me advice or encouragement? I am really down. I did not expect to hear these words.

A review required doesn't necessarily mean that your application might have any problems. Sometimes the case analysts aren't sure about some stuff and they just want the Visa officer to have a look before marking eligibility passed.

I would advise you to order notes so that you can see exactly what the analyst is confused/concerned about. Good Luck.

Today is my 174th day.

Exactly on last Thursday my file was picked up and since then I have been getting constant updates every day

Seeing this pattern brings me some hope.

Just received 2nd set off notes and they are about 100% same to previous notes I received one month ago. Between those two notes dates, it looks like no progress made in one month duration. Now its less than one month remaining and Eligibility, Security and Criminality status is Not Started. Only medical and info sharing are done.
Should I order 3rd set of notes?
Has any one else experienced this?

And I specifically asked multiple times if eligibility was met and she said it was met and the date was Dec 17th

No need to worry, criminality and security can start anytime soon this week

same AOR...same boat..not really planning on a 3rd until I cross 6 months

My second set of notes is an exact copy of the first set with only MEP done.
I have 25 more days on the timeline. Shall wait it out one more week and then maybe order another set.

It could take a few days to months. I have read other posts in this forum there is a possibility that your background check has started but not updated in your file.

@SithLord I’m from December forum, I just follow the November forum for the positivity your spread. I’m sure everybody on the forum feels the same. I’m sure you’ll get PPR in couple of days

If ordering within Canada, do notes still take 30-40 days? I have a cousin who could order them for me but it's such a long wait. I was thinking to raise CSE to ask further details and maybe just clarify anything that might be confusing them.

I just got through to an agent who told me that Eligibility was recommended 'met' on Dec 17th (That's the day I got my 'how to find a job in Canada' update). Haven't heard anything since. Still in IP1.

Security and Criminality have not started yet.

What do you guys think my chances of PPR are?

Status on CIC has been changed to Approved. Not sure when can i collect the passports from VFS Delhi as nothing has been changed on VFS website.
