I had RR for POF for nearly 6 months and now I assume that my file is in queue for someone to say whether they'll extend my medical or have me do it again.. It could also be that they want me to do an interview since I am already in Canada.. Who knows!
Oh in that case you will be in queue for a landing interview slot. There are many applicants who had to wait for 1-3 months before getting invited for the interview.

It depends, I see a lot of FSW Inland applicants getting a PPR and driving down to the border with their COPR to do their landing. I don't know if there is a rule to decide whether to give an interview or PPR...

I have noticed one trend with Ottawa applicants ... If their IP2 starts at a certain date and they don’t get an ADR or PPR within 1 or 2 days ,then their file is picked around the 1 month after IP2 date and get the PPR issued..
I don't know about that. It's been over 5 weeks since I got a ghost update (which I'm assuming is IP2 because security is in progress and the message is the same since the beginning) and I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Well that’s interesting, just received a response to my CSE. So it looks like my medicals are expired and IRCC is going to make a decision on extending vs re-medical.

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

  • Your file was transferred to a visa office,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The medical examination results on file are expired and are currently being reassed.
IRCC is committed to reviewing most permanent resident applications submitted online within a 6-month time frame. Although the delay may vary, rest assured that we are making the necessary efforts to finalize your application within established processing times.

I got a similar response today, just that my medicals haven't expired yet. Do you know if "The background verifications are currently valid." means background check is complete?

So your medical has expired and yet they did not ask for your re-medical?

That's weird because my husbands medical will expire in July 1ast week and he got a re-medical request exactly a month back!!

I am sure they will give you give you an extension..else this is not possible!!

Eligibility for sure might be in progress or even passed....... It's just that they don't update it. My eligibility was met on December 17th and later passed..... But till date my cic account shows - we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility.......
So relax...... Just call them after fee days..... And then ask then about eligibility ......
Shows the same for me...we re reviewing whether you meet the eligibility.
ADR: We are reviewing the additional docs you provided.
Meds: We have requested a new medical. Check below for more details.

Ordered GCMs back on 29th April, did not receive yet. So could not figure out anything!

Hope eligibility is passed else asking for re-medical makes no sense!!

Thanks for the motivation :)

So it means all items are truly approved, and local VO will send you PPR very soon.

I remember having sent you a link pertaining to operational procedures adapted in case of expired medicals. These are only requested when the final decision is pending due to expired medicals or soon to be expiring ones.

I have understood that call center agents can only see the latest assessment. The status of these assessments keep changing as file moves from one officer to another (usually senior) and the status changes to Not Started. Now for that VO to make a final Passed status, they would either need to extend the medicals or request new ones. However, it doesn’t make sense to request remedical if they have not reached a conclusive decision and neither does it make sense if they are considering refusal. So rest assured your application is smooth now and you should ideally be receiving PPR soon after your husband’s medicals are cleared.
Yes I remember you did sent me and I was all excited after I read it.
Re-med came on Tue and Fri when I called they said only criminality passed, security not started and eligibility not started..it snatched away all my happiness.. :(:(:(

Exactly, makes no sense to ask the applicants to spend money and do re-medical when they are not even aware if my file meets the eligibility or not, or if they would even want to cancel it.

When re-meds are done a form is provided to the applicant which needs to be sent to cic by them.
My husband got the same and he submitted the same on Tue night (IST) via webform and also asked about the status of our application.
Just now received a patent response that the form has been received and sent to the case officer and will be contacted if required.

No response to our query!!!

So frustrating... :(

I hope your words come true and we get it soon.

Hey @Upasana , Even I was told nothing has started and I got the rprf request in 7 days( same date you got your re medical request , I have the same aor - nov 28, so I remember reading your post that day) and ready for visa mail in next couple of days.
So don’t worry, the officer might not have just updated the status. You would get the ppr mail soon!!
