Brother, there are cases where people get cleared of security in a matter of hours. It all depends on various factors.

My assumption is based on her being closer to her estimated processing time and having passed eligibility.
Let's hope for the best. I'll be really happy if you're right. Hope I'm not under SS :(

Wow. Hit's you right in the feels doesn't it. It really does feel like being held hostage because your life is at a stand still and you cant take any major life decisions.

Especially when most of these government agencies run with your tax money and you still are at a limbo on your status in the country. CEC people will know exactly how sucky that feeling is.

They really are grossly understaffed. They either need to increase their staff or majorly cut down on the amount of people being invited until they clear off all the back log. As selfish as it sounds, they really need to give priority to the people who have spent 100s of dollars in applications fees.

There is a tweet from IRCC today which says:

“Note: We will not respond to any questions sent on Thursday, May 23. Please hold your questions until Friday.”

That article was on Sydney, Nova Scotia but it is definitely relatable to Ottawa and other VOs.

They're indeed understaffed and probably not efficient enough to handle so many cases.

Unless you have extended travel history, political/military activities, Middle East background etc you will not be under SS
I have 14 trips abroad including 6 to Turkey (one of them was 10 years ago, and five during the last year - tried to pass and finally passed PTE-A exam that is accepted in Australia), 1 to Egypt (9 years ago) and 7 to European countries. Hope it won't be a problem.
