Hmm, that's v interesting because I hadn't considered it could be red tape in India that is slowing down the authentication of PCCs or criminal background checks. My experience with acquiring the PCC in India was shockingly efficient: I was in and out of the PSK in 50 mins with my PCC in hand. And that me wonder: Surely they couldn't have queried my name against a database in so little time to hand me a "No Trace" PCC. So was it simply a rubber-stamp babu-bureacracy formality, this Indian PCC? Do they issue PCCs to anyone applying to immigrate to Canada, NZ, AU, etc.? Is there truly a database in India that is live, useful and effective, I wondered. And if there is, and they were so efficient in issuing me with the PCC, then how does it figure that these same authorities are dragging their feet when it comes to handling queries from CBSA/CSIS.
This has been mt experience as well.. totally unexpected ... i was in and out of PSK in less than an hour.. the reason i was handed the PCC right there was coz i had just renewed my passport so they did the backgorund chexk. When my wife applied she was asked to come back after they send her the update.. in the meanwhile police personnel went to her house and did the bacgroudn check.. i am assuming that the same authorities take their sweet time in replying when external authorities like you mentioned reach out..

Man, that's so weird because my passport was more than 8 years old at the time of the PCC! I am due to renew it in 2020, which I hope to do in Canada. (I renewed it once in New York and it was such a breeze.) I'm starting to realize that it could be our beloved Indian authorities that are holding us back even after issuing us with our PCCs. Sigh.

I submitted online but the PPR prompted me to submit passports at VFS Global for passport transmission to the Pretoria embassy.
Hi Steven, did you submit your passport to VFS Pretoria? If yes, how long did it take to get it back?

Mine was even faster. I walked in and out of PSK in 30 minutes. This one lady didn't have a clue about Canadian Express Entry, so I spent like 10 minutes explaining to her how this works. Honestly, I was prepared to come the next day but was very surprised as to how coherent they were.

Read the last bulleted point under the heading “Your Photos must be”

It says must be printed.... means this is the specifications for photos which you will send after getting PPR.

Now, just google the following, you will get your answer.

Express Entry Digital photos specifications

Thank you, most of the links shows 35x 45 .. thank you much again for your efforts...
I have checked with my use of rep he told me that if there is a issue with photo they won't reject the application instead they ask to submit new photos. Is that true.please advise
