It's not an extension dear. Seems u were asked to do retest for urine or something later that delayed your med pass date.
Same with me as original med was done on 6 November and retest on 8 Jan 2019
So medical expiry is Jan 8 2019 and not in November.

One person from an old group received PPR without remeds yesterday.
Aor 20 November,IP2 was 15 may, POF RR, sent CSE in July. Fswo India.
So it's completely random and lottery to be picked up from a pile.

i was on RR - found out for pof through gcms - sent them additional supporting docs and cleared RR - though it took 1 year ..

So hang in there -

1- Did you get PPR now?
2-Did you get Re-med request when your medical were expiring ?
3-Also it took you one year from the date of your AOR ?

Look.... I hv seen people here who had RR but later on they sailed through and their eligibility started showing met or passed....

Sometimes in RR case you receive additional document request or the senior office gets satisfied with the information you had provided......

I didn't receive any single additional doc request, NOTHING.

No , Go whether the travel is for recreation or business GO ,don’t keep ur life on hold because of PPR , once u get it you will have 30 days to submit the passport , may be by then if u have already travelled , you would have the time to submit it when u come back. Another opinion which would save you the hassle but I don’t know whether it is applicable in ur country or not but it is applicable in mine is to keep the old passport , don’t send them the new passport right away because they will take more time to update it for you, whenever u receive PPR submit the old passport & get it stamped then u can travel to Canada with the old passport & the new one together. Just an opinion!

In my old passport, in the first page, The officer stamped it which saying FRESH NEW PASSPORT WILL BE SUBMITTED IN LIEU OF OLD PASSPORT. Also I will confirm the same thing which you recommended, But there's a question arises, after 10 days I will get a new passport and immediately I will attach it via web-form. Isn't that the right thing to do? You saying it will take time to update it in their record which leads to delay my PPR ? This is what you saying ?
