As per what I have observed on immitracker, not many PPRs are being issued to Indians resident in India. Maybe there is some country wise quota. Just guessing.

I am tired of this process anyway. I gave an interview today and it went really well. If I get the role, then I don't think that I will move to Canada. I really really wanted to move there but now I feel that they don't want us for whatever reason. Maybe they are tiring us out by delaying the PPR so that we give up eventually.

I know that I sound pessimistic but this is how I feel now.
We are all frustrated indeed! I have received my Gcms noted this evening exactly after 30days after I applied....it indicates that i have passed eligibility but they have not started on my security.

It is frustrating. Don’t give up even though that you are likely to get the job. The fight continues.

Hi everyone, my AOR is 20 Nov 2018. I got a medical exam request today - IMM1017. On the form there is only my 3 yo son’s name. Should I just book a medical exam for my son?
Hello there, I will try if this message get to you, please can you tell me what did you do after that ? I got the same IMM1017 form and I don't understand why they will ask for another medical ...

Hello,
AOR 20th Nov '18
Mine and my wife's medicals expire 09th Sept '19.
We got Request to redo medicals on 08th Aug '19. Completed re-medicals on 19th August '19 and uploaded.
No communication since then.

Our case is different though as my wife does have a chronic illness which requires relatively expensive medicine.
So we are hopeful for PPR request sometime soon, otherwise PFL is the other side of the coin (to explain mitigating factors of medical costs).

Would you think that CIC would issue PFL before request for re-medical or after (considering that the 'complexity' in our case is actually medicals)?
First of all, our sincere prayers for your wife's speedy recovery, plus I'm no expert but here are seniors who can answer that question, so @SithLord your views required.

Dear All,

I have been a silent reader for a long and thought will share my part of the journey until this moment.

No PPR yet !!!

I got a job offer in BC in April 2017. My employer waited for almost 2 1/2 months to process the LMIA and got rejected as the application didn't meet their requirements. We revised everything and again waited for another close to 2 months to process the LMIA. It got rejected again. Not once but twice my employer applied and waited for the LMIA. I don't know if there is any employer who could goto the extents of doing multiple LMIA. All these while i didn't know about the BC PNP process, figured out a way while I was on a business trip to the US in June 2018. I applied for the BC PNP and my employer paid again the employer compliance fee, got the BC nomination and then an ITA from IRCC, received an AOR on Nov 16 2018.
Before finishing my PR application, I applied for a work permit using the support letter received from BC and got a permit on December 06.

I decided to wait till May 16, the 6 months estimated time line, as i didn't want to start in fall. In March, figured out a review required on Job duties and POF through GCMS notes. Proactively arranged the documents and sent it to IRCC. My file moved to NDVO on March 23 and still waiting.
I sent multiple emails to NDVO but not even a generic reply. I wrote to Mr. Ralph and got to know that my medical validity is Nov 7 though I gave it on Nov 2. Criminality Passed, Eligibility - Review required, Security - Not Started.

I ordered GCMS notes on August 01st and received 2 days back, found that info sharing still in-progress for my wife. I had a US visa refusal in 2010 and my wife had one in June 2019. By mistake, i had clicked "No" to the question on any visa refusal as i read it as only for Canada. I sent out an explanation letter to IRCC immediately explaining the situation and on what grounds the visa was refused.

I do not know what their decision is going to be but I'm still waiting.

I still have the work permit and planning to start in Canada between Jan - Mar.

I have to put some of my major decisions on hold as I still belief that there will be at least some answer from IRCC. I currently hold a designation as Studio Director and have been offered as a Partner. I also have a job offer from one of the big engineering and construction in the middle east with great pay. All these are on-hold for now as I'm waiting and still fighting.

Sorry for a long write up above.
I know each of us had had traveled their own paths with all hurdles but you need to belief that there is gold at 10 ft.

I don't think that's true. I think last year more than 40% of PRs went to India. And I don't think they're changing policy any time soon.

Stay positive.
Thanks for the support. Much appreciated.

However, my GCMS that I received in May stated that my eligibility was met in December last year. Basically nobody has picked up my after that. No review required.

This is a clear indication that I don't fall on their priority list due to NOC, score, country, or whatever their reason might be. In short, they don't want me there, at least right now. Since they have not picked up my till now, I have no reason to believe that they will pick it up tomorrow. So how long can one wait for this thing to happen?

It is one thing to remain positive and believe that you will move to Canada eventually, but another to give up something great here to move without a job to another country. I was ready to leave my previous job and move but if I get this new job then it may not make sense. It is all about opportunity costs.

People apply keeping in mind the 6 month timeline. Now we are in our 11th month and things can drastically change in that much time. I am sure that IRCC is aware of this and the people with eligibility met are not a priority for them. I would have understood the delay if I were under SS. I would have still cribbed but at least not waited for a decision coz SS takes time.

Again, thanks for the support. I am just venting out my frustration. Sharing takes the load off :p
