November 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

I picked up my passport late yesterday. My journey is now complete. Thank you to everyone here that helped directly and indirectly.

I'll be around the forum as I still have to apply for my wife.

All in all, it was a pretty smooth application process. I was ready for the one year application process; took about that much time.

No hiccups in the process, thank god. I will tell all applicants that be prepared a one year time cycle and I implore patience. Nothing that anyone tells you here can change your application timeline.

Are they actually going to look at it come ceremony day? It's just weird coz we went through each of the papers during the test interview.

Sorry my bad. I thought for test and interview.
For Oath ceremony you need you PR card which they will keep and your ID’s DL, Care Card for address verification. Keep your current passport with you.

In my oath ceremony invite, it says:

Please print, fill out and bring the following:
1. Notice to Appear
2. Media Release Form
3. Prohibitions Form

The attachments in the email does not include a Prohibitions form. Do they give it to us come ceremony day and sign it in front of the immigration officers? Or do we have to get a form online and print it? I calles CIC, and the girl I talked to doesn’t seem to know what I’m talking about. Lol.

@SANAGhada I would advise you to be patient. You'd consider yourself lucky that being a Dec applicant you've already written your test while there are some applicants from Oct/Nov that are still waiting for their test invites.

Yes there is, but the attachment only has 3 pages and none of them is the prohibitions form. I wonder why they mentioned it in their email but is not included in the attachment. I'll probably call Immigration again tomorrow and hopefully I can talk to someone who knows what I'm talking about. The last person I talked to is confused. Lol

Yes. Based by my experience you have to contact them via webform. Probably, there's FP request which they forgot to send you.
It was my case.

its already DM on ECAS and the officer said wait for the Oath letter.

For how long? Usually it is between 2 weeks and 6 months for some to receive an invite. It would be good if someone can post recent timeline from DM to Oath invite and date.
