@French 2014 As far as I know physical presence check is the first step in the application process to ensure that you meet the requirements and only then your application is forwarded to your local processing office. I'm not sure why the agent would point out "physical presence". Did you ask for further clarification as to why it's done at this point in time? Frankly, there's not much we could do except waiting for further correspondence.

It depends what they are looking for. In my case they asked about US Entry Exit Report and Itineraries. One year has been passed for me and my application is still in process after Test and Interview. So i would recommend to take it easy and wait

Received my oath invitation yesterday through email, please update the spreadsheet.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 24, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 2, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on March 1, 2018.
4. We sent you correspondence on March 19, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. We sent you a notice on April 18, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 7, 2018 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
6. We sent you a notice on November 26, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 19, 2018 at 12:30 PM. I finally reach the end of process and became a happy citizen. Good luck to those still waiting for test and oath!

Thanks to all contributors of this forum, as your posts were of immense help to me throughout the years since the beginning of my immigration process.

Dear Admins, please update my line in the spreadsheet.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 22, 2017.

3. We started processing your application on February 11, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on September 6, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 24, 2018.
5. We sent you a notice on November 7, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on November 27, 2018.

ECAS showed "complete" on November 28, 2018. My test was in Scarborough and oath ceremony in Mississauga.

Got oath invite 3 days after taking the test. Just want to share my timeline again to people who are still waiting. I believe my case is non-routine? I was asked for A LOT of additional docs earlier this year. Documents like travel records to my home country (which was really difficult to get. I had to ask my family over there to get it for me since it's not possible to have it done at the consulate here), us entry exits, fingerprinting, police clearance from my home country(because I totaled 6 months there during the eligibility period), health records from BC and ON, colored copy of every passport page, etc. Not sure if it was an RQ or PPQ-QAE. Some peace of mind for now.

I would send a web form, it is probably a glitch in the system, specially if you can see your status updated on ECAS with same time and date as oath. I am suggesting to send an inquiry through web form just in case.

Same here but I took my test around March and still waiting
