2 pieces of provincial ID (Health card, Drivers License, or Ontario photo ID)
Originals of any photocopies of documents you submitted with your application are good to carry as well

My question is, what are the main original documents I would need to take.

Per instructions - anything and everything that you've enumerated/ticked in your "document checklist" with your application. However, typically they check only the (1)test invite letter, (2)prohibitions form (if not supplied with the invite - they'd hand-it to you at the reception), (3)all ID cars (DL, PRC, HC) and (4)original passport/s*.

*if you have any immigration stamp which is not in either of the two official languages of Canada then (5)certified translation of those stamps.

My wife has finally gotten her invite to write the test on October 15. Details are below:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 29, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 18, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on February 4, 2018.

Ecas has not yet been updated but she received the invite via email today, September 25, 2018.

The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on September 6, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on September 27, 2018 at 9:00 AM. Finally an update on my end.

Got an email about the Test Date: October 4th 2018 at Scarborough Citizenship and Immigration.

What documents apart from my Passports and PR card are required?

Test date Sept 19 2018 at Scarborough. 20/20.
21 Sep 2018 - Decision Made. Waiting for Oath Invite.

As my PR had expired in June18, and no news on my Nov17 citizenship application; I did submit a PR renewal application on June8th. Now both Citizenship and PR renewal show as Decision Made. Lets see which one comes first, the renewed PR or the Oath invite.
