QUESTION PLEASE???

My wife and I are writing our test and appearing for the interview in 2 hours today.

She has 2 passports - 1) 2004-2014 and 2) 2014 to current date. She does not have the passport with her for 2004 and earlier. We became PR in 2014. How much of an issue will that cause ... any idea???

Hi my friend i am same boat i passed interview one month ago but not yet oath any advise please

Patience. Wait for 2-4 months after citizenship test as per instruction. Then call if you don’t get the oath invite. I understand it’s 12months processing time.

I have took oath on 13th September. I was mistakenly said it will be on 15th September. But it was on 13th at Mississauga.

Ceremony notice said 9:00AM. They called inside at correct time and marked our attendance( took nearly 30min ), only checked PR Card and Email Notice with Media Release Form(but Landing Paper was mentioned in an email). then took the PR card. waited for 1hour. ceremony stared at 10, took oath. After that line by line got the certificate from Judge . out of the hall at 10:55.

became a Canadian Citizen

My wife and I both wrote the test today and passed with 20/20. The test itself - 15 correct answers was the passing mark / questions were pretty straight forward but worded differently than the on-line tests / 3 - 4 questions were trickier than the rest / we never read the guide; practiced about 500 questions on-line over a couple of days / most folks at the exam center finished the test within 15-20 minutes. But I would not take it easy!

At the interview, the lady quickly glanced through our Passport and PR card for about 10 or so seconds . . . no questions asked! She confirmed this would be the last action item on our file and everything else had been completed. Oath ceremony would take place at the same location within the next month and a half.

We are doing our citizenship test on Sep.27th, FINALLY.
We are preparing the interview file with all the documents.
Regarding Work and Student Visa permits from old passports (before eligibility period) do we need to translate them? we r talking about 1986 year!!

Since you moved to Milton..where was your test?

Hello... finally some movement on the citizenship application. Following is the update on ecas
We sent you a notice on September 13, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 4, 2018.
The test is in Scarborough which is surprising because I am in Mississauga. I had made an inquiry as well some time back with CIC on the status of my file and was told file is being processed in Mississauga. Anyway, I am happy that I got the test invite after 7 months of waiting.

Scarborough :-( it was long drive ~80 km, I took 407 not to risk getting late.
In waiting room someone asked something about locations and I heard officer said that Mississauga office was permanently closed.
So if I'm not mistaken, I guess everyone in GTA has to go in Scarborough for both exam and oath ceremony.
