I had my test yesterday, Kitchener office, on Aug 1st, 2018,
a few notes about our experience:
- Test is way easier than any online websites that provide sample test, I have tried any website that google shows. I finished the test in like 5 mins and got 20/20.
- We have a family application, myself, my daughter, and my wife. So, we both went into the interview in the same time. officer asked few questions about my work, commute. we had the translations of our stamps, but the officer didn't ask to see them, neither our passports, nor any documents that we had with us.
- My status, online, was changed today Aug 2nd 2018,to decision made.

my timeline is below:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 14, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 4, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on January 16, 2018.
  4. We sent you correspondence on February 7, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  5. We sent you a notice on July 18, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 1, 2018 at 9:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

good luck to everybody with their applications.
Updated. Congrats!!

Hey folks ! Can’t find my COPR(( is it a big problem?? I will have test August 27

My husband never (to my knowledge) had a COPR. He had his test at Scarborough in May and was not asked for it. The officer did tell him to bring it to the citizenship ceremony, but did say if he didn't have it, it wouldn't be a problem; it just may take a little longer to find his file on the day of the ceremony.

It’s the most important document.

Thanks a lot!

Regardless of whether the document is asked for, it's something you should have in your possession. It's easy enough to apply for a duplicate to be sent to you, so that would be my suggestion.

Alrighty, last post! I had my citizenship ceremony yesterday in Surrey at 8:30am. We had a special guest speaker, a clerk and a mountie presiding over the event. There were 57 people from 39 different countries in my group. The whole ceremony took approximately an hour and a half and we were out of there by around 10am, after staying to take photos with the presiding officials. This morning my eCas has updated to complete and shows that I became a citizen on Aug 2. I'll be submitting my passport application next week after the long weekend and hopefully, within a week of that, I'll have a shiny new Canadian passport.
As usual, thanks again to everyone who provided helpful advice on this forum and good luck to everyone still waiting somewhere along the way. It's a wonderful feeling to finally be here and know that this is now officially my home (though it has been in my heart for nearly 8 years).

Any info is greatly appreciated.

I did my test back in April and I know 2 close friends had test on January in Scarborough and none of us got the ceremony invite... its a brutal line up. I need my passport to be able to travel to US ...I'm just this close to lose my job and still no news from Scarborough

Have you tried contacting them? To see if they can expedite or give you a better answer on the timeline?

you can ask for expedite process, but this needs a work letter from employer to specifically mention that they will fire you if you won't be able to travel and no employer accepts to write such comments , this will have some consequences for them.

Yes, thats a valid point. You could ask for urgent processing. They might accept it.
