Please can anyone answer my question

i did my citizenship exam last week and i got 20/20 . i went for an interview after the exam at edmonton office and everything was good .it was a short interview took 7 min ,the officer in the room said everything is good .but we are waiting for a background check !
is this normal ??
does anyone know how long it take? i have no criminal records nor any offence.

It’s normal some office invites u for test b4 the background check, it can take up to 3 months or more than

This was fast and quick in my case..

Hi there,

Where are you located. I finished my test om mar 22 and decison was made . They told me they will send oath letter. I have not got the oath letter yet.

Thank you, also, my eCas updated this morning, though it does say the notice was sent on May 7, the attachment in my email is dated May 14 and I received the email at 11am yesterday. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I received my ATIP notes this morning, which would put it a few days early (Due May 22), so I'm not sure if the old wives tale of requesting your notes can bump them along or just a happy coincidence,

How do you request for ATIP notes ?

Hi! Does anyone know what to look for in an ATIP/AIPRP report? I have got this 28 page document and not sure what to look for?
My test is on June 11 2018 and I want to know if my security clearance/backgrounds checks are complete?

Would like to thank the forum the Admins... For all the support during my citizenship application journey. My journey after 6 months has come to an end l became a Canadian Citizen today. Thank you for all the support and l wish all my fellow applicants a good journey. My process:

Nov 11 2017= Application sent
Nov 16 2017 = Application delivered
January 2 2018 = AOR
February 17 2018= In Process
March 05 2018= Test invite
April 12 2018 = Citizenship Test
April 14 2018= Decision Made
April 27 2018 = Oath invite
May 15 2018= Oath Ceremony became Canadain Citizen

He was asked the questions below:
Why he has been out of Canada for so many times and the length of period mentioned in the calculator? ( although the reason was already mentioned in the application form)
Whether he intends to stay in Canada?
The officer asked for his current and expired passport, PR card and a piece of ID, original landing paper
She verified the stamps on the passport with her records.

His status was changed to DM either during the weekend or on Monday as that is when I checked.
