Thanks for the reply .Do you know of any other thing they might request apart from the fingerprint?Moreso,at this stage what should I expect next for processing time
Finger print is the most common

some applicants have reported CIC request for RQ - Residence questioneer a bit more pain - but just collecting more documentation such as address proof during the eligibility period and entry and exit stamps or CBSA exit/entries.

Few (very few) have reported - random quality assurance - some more documentation.

Finger print typically does not affect timeline by that much(if at all)

  1. I checked my online status today and this is what I saw" We sent you correspondence on February 6, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required".I'm little worried now because I don't know what the will request. Can someone guess what might be their request please.
The same here: i just checked my status and saw that exact same message. I have not received anything from CIC. Does that mean they will send it by mail?

FP Request seems to be affecting timeline by around a month max. Mine was submitted two weeks ago today and still no update. So its kind of slowing down the otherwise regular process.

Yeah, you are right, I just found the mail from cic asking for fingerprints. Not sure how this would effect my citizenship processing.. any thoughts
Not by much, if at all. Worst case, by 2-4 weeks. Best case, 0. FP request is extremely common.

Please could the spreadsheet be updated to reflect that my application transitioned to "In process" on the 5th February.
