I noticed mp17 has received AOR but never posted - is the spreadsheet accurate?

Hi guys, single application mailed
November 2, from Edmonton Alberta
Received November 6 2017
ROE received Dec 20th 2017
Application changed to in progress January 19th 2018.
Question:What is the meaning of the in progress, dose it mean application will not go in for further screening?Last question:when will I expect to here from them and what might they need next. Thanks for you guys endless support.
Added. IP just means that your application will be transferred to a local office close to your home address (I think Edmonton only has one). Your application will now start "real" processing, meaning background, criminality, and eligibility checks will now be done on your application.

Next step can be a fingerprint request (not everyone is asked to provide these), test/interview invite, then oath.
In process, Jan 20...

Thanks!

I have a question....if IP means "that application will be transferred to a local office close to applicants home address" , Sydney CPC takes 2-6 weeks on an average just to scan and / or mail the application/s to a local office? My understanding was that application goes to IP the moment it is picked up by a processing personnel at local CIC office. Please clarify.

Thanks

Hi, it seems that each case is different than the other. The most important thing that your application is in the local office, so congratulations.;)

Hi guys, My application was delivered in November 24, 2017 and i have not gotten any sort of correspndence from CIC. Is this normal?

It is believed that CPC-Sydney does some preliminary eligibility checks on GCMS between AOR and IP. dpenabill mentioned that some time ago, there was no difference between AOR and IP. Both used to happen simultaneously.

This is also somewhat confirmed by the fact that some people got a Quality Assurance Questionnaire in between AOR and IP from Sydney. The list of requested documents is customized for each applicant, meaning they did some checks.

These checks will likely be re-done by the VO at the local office.

Hi can all the below applicants check ecas and see if they have an AOR as I feel all of you had your application delivered in first 9 days of Nov. We already have 75% applicants who have received their AOR and just want to make sure we have active applicants in the list and not people who have abandoned the tracker.
