Yay! Just received AOR about 15 minutes ago, app delivered on Nov 16. I'll check ecas once a day to see when I have access.

Also just wondering, I sent the application along with my marriage certificate to have my citizenship come through in my married name, on the email and attached PDF it states my maiden, think this is an issue at all?

Hello,

Quick question, for people that have gotten their AOR, do you guys get an email or you just check your application status?

Thanks!

Hello guys, I have 2 questions.
1. I applied on Oct 14, application returned Nov 6 because I forgot to sign the online calculator, sent it back the same day, still no AOR. Is that normal?
2. I have a warrant out for my arrest in another province because I was stopped driving a car with no insurance, they gave me a court date and my stupid ass never showed up or got a lawyer to go for me. This was 3 years ago, I've been in and out of the country since then without any issue. I'm gonna take care of the problem but not until next summer because it's not a ticket I can just pay and lawyers I've talked to say they can't help. I have to be physically present and I see a judge.
Is this gonna be a problem for my citizenship application when they do the background check? I know it's not a criminal offence but I warrant is very serious isn't it?
Thanks for the help.

If you gave them an email address that's where your AOR will be sent, if not then it will be mailed. Checking application status should work once your file is entered into the system and you will keep watch there for IP, etc.

1. You not getting AOR for resubmission is fine, don't worry too much, there's a long backlog from October so just wait it out. It's gone from about 3-4 weeks for AOR to 6+ish for most.
2. I know when I applied for PR I had an unknown 'lien' against my background check which turned out to be a fine from the electoral roll in Australia as it is mandatory to vote there so you are fined if you do not. I had to provide proof that this issue was resolved to continue on in my PR process, so I'm not too sure how it may fall with your warrant. Perhaps get a consult from an immigration lawyer? Some offer them for free dependant on where you are.
