Ohh I thought you meant 1 year from now as in may 2019. What you said is totally possible. To be honest if they offered me a deal to get citizenship in November 2018, I would take it because I don’t expect anything before November.
Quickly? No. But he can just reschedule the oath if he can't make it.
Why are they slow? They aren't. They are meeting their obligations which is pretty good considering the 10's of thousands of applications that came in October alone.
yes, even we have been in IP status since Feb 6. We are from Mississauga , not test invite yet.My location is Brampton and IP since Feb 2.
I was curious about the office where my file is going to be processed (Mississauga/Scarborough) and managed to call CIC today. The agent told me tat my file is still in Syndey awaiting dispatch to Mississauga.Not sure if anyone else in the same scenario.
Looks like the wait for test invite is yet to begin....
They really should have a status for being "Pre-transit" because IP is a bit of a misnomer if it's just sitting in Sydney for over 3 months waiting to be sent!My location is Brampton and IP since Feb 2.

Yeah you are right.. I think the drastic increase in volume of applicants could be the reason..

Has anyone faced problems in Citizenship application because they were working in US while residing in Canada. I moved to Canada as PR last year and I work for US company. I don’t go to US often as I can work from home..
Had a decision made on May 18, pls update.Also because I have traveled a lot and only worked half year since pr landing. So I had an interview with the CO, asked lots of questions and took about 30 mins. But it all went well.
