Hello,I can't share anything about the exam. I can only say it is not difficult if you read the guide a couple of times and did a lot of practice tests online. Of course things may change when the new guide is finalized. But other than that, your id is checked a number of times and the instructions about the test are explained very clearly by the people managing the test in both languages. Most of us finished early. But everyone remained seated until the end of the test. Then they started calling the names for the interview. During the interview your ids and passport stamps are checked. Any questions will depend on your case. If everything is in order, you should expect the oath ceremony invite in 2-4 months. Again, every case is different.
Starting to feel pretty overlooked there Vancouver/Surrey office, it's been a month and a half since IP and no test invite. Really hoping this week is the one.
I have no plans to inquire anywhere, I'm not that impatient, I was just hoping to be on the same timeline as the other Van applicants for November and October, approximately 20-50 days between IP and test invite, depending on which office it's at. If I don't get the invite this week then that would put me behind compared to the others and I'd rather be average than an exemption. There was a lot of action for Vancouver applicants recently so I was simply a little disappointed not to be a part of that. And I don't think that's correct, I could still be asked for fingerprints or an RQ at this point, and even after the test. But all in all, Vancouver has a pretty good/ average processing time compared to the 1 year timeline so I'm not worried, just anxious to get onto the next step of this fun little game of citizenship.IP since Jan 15 for my Mom & Dad.
When I was waiting for mine last year, and tried calling them, they basically said, the lead time for citizenship is 12 Months and we cannot compare our application, as everyone is treated as an individual.
But on another note, if it is in process, it only means that the next step is test invite, and you dont need to submit any additional requirement for your application.
same as Winnipeg.GTA is not moving... IP since January 10,2018... seems like toronto area didnt get any invite yet
It's not likely there is a pause. They are working on the 95% of the applications that aren't represented by members of the forum.I wrote last week that there is some sort of operational pause going on. Montreal hasn't done anything in a few weeks. Hope it ends soon. I have friends that applied in Oct and became citzens weeks ago.
