After that - every person is different with different backgrounds - nationality, # of countries visited, family with/without minors, documentation types.
Security checks will take ages etc etc. and would take different amount of time to get each stage passed.

I know - many people are venting. But FIFO wont always work. Also, i do not know of any other country offering citizenship with 3 yr residency (there could be - i do not know).

Having said that - waiting is the hardest thing to do. IRCC could do a better job communicating - not sure what they are doing is efficient.

The fact is the processing time is currently sitting at 12 months, so they really don't have anything to do to better communicate status of their internal checks..

Your local office system has greater effect than your background check, most of frustrating you have noticed is coming from Calgary. For unknown reason the office there almost stopped working!

Same here, IP Jan 03rd. No update. Calgary office is almost dead.

They are in a coma since Dec 15th.

The next step if everything goes fine is going to be an interview, same seniors did when u did your test. The advantage for seniors is waving the test ( language requirements) but everything else same as us. Good luck to your parents

I just received my first GCMS notes.. I requested on Feb 13 so it took exactly a month. I went IP on Feb 8 so as expected everything is "Not Started" except Criminality is passed. I guess I should of waited a couple more weeks... Anyhow, I ordered another one and we'll see what happens.
