We have an applicant in Oct thread by the name of Amin383 from Edmonton who was sent a finger print request on December 20 and got a test invite on Dec 27. Isn't this unusual? Does anyone else have something similar?

Don't just issue FPs and RQs, people have been waiting for oath letter for 2.5mo after DM in Edmonton. This office is definitely a joke.

What makes it unusual ? Some applicants form Edmonton got FP request and test invite on the same day. FP request is for background check, which can run in parallel with the knowledge check.
