Hi Is there a PPR coming or just the COPR?

I am not sure if I should count yesterday's correspondence as PPR or if I should wait until a real PPR or the COPR comes to update my profile. I'll probably do the latter just to be sure. My husband is going to express post the photos they requested as soon as possible, within the next couple of days. I hope it does not take them too long to complete our file after they receive them.

I started a new topic not to interrupt other topics and their natural flow, but I had only one response and slightly panicking about my situation.
I'm trying to get some insight into how long does it take for Outland Common Law Partner Sponsorship applicants to get an initial response from CIC?

My partner who is applying as my sponsor (Canadian citizen) and I (Polish) sent our application on February 10th. Since then, we have been keeping our eyes peeled for an email notification, but nothing so far.

Could someone who recently applied under the same category advise us on how long did it take until they received the initial response from CIC?

As advised by one user on this forum (Officer - thank you!), we tried calling CIC. Unfortunately, outland applicants cannot use the calling centre services. We filled out a form online and outlined our situation last week. So far no response.

Officer advised us to contact MP, but we have no clue how to go about that, especially from afar (we live in the UK).

Could you please share your experience?

No additional documents request? if none for sure you will get PPR soon

Hi, I was processed through Ottawa however just wanted to let you know my Medical didn't change to passed until a week before we got our PPR. We also did everything upfront. I'm sure someone from your VO may be able to share their experience

Hey Torsyd... I fell like we are on the same page well actually at least we received our SA but since than nothing... Were you able to link your application on the Cic website? What is your VO?

By the way did you guys consider ordering the GSMS notes?

Our update is that we noticed that on March 15, it said decision made, then we got our PPR. We sent it in the next day and we are still waiting for the COPR. So it's been 2 weeks. Shouldn't we be getti it soon? Our office is Ottawa and I feel like people have been getting the COPR pretty quickly. It's only making me nervous too because our ECAS and MyCIC haven't updated: still says it's waiting on our response, which we did for more information. Then the DM came, do they just take forever to update? Hoping to get COPR soon!

How did you send the PPR? Fedx? UPS? USPS? Xpresspost? I submitted my PPR on March 16- Fedex overnight reached Ottawa on March 17. I received it back on Monday the 27th. I had submitted a return label via fedex with fast shipping. It might be in the mail my tracker did not initiate till Monday morning when the fedex guy was knocking at my door. You can always email them to ensure that they have it and are working on it.

Is anyone shipping items from the US to Cananda? Any advise on which shipping carrier to use? How did you get away from having duties tagged on for your items when your moving up there?

Was able to link the application back in December, but I think that was more of a curse than a blessing. Now I check it obsessively! I ordered the notes at the beginning of February, and they still haven't sent them despite a number of follow ups. I'm happy for everyone else but would love to jump on the COPR train!!

Yes, I ordered my notes. You should, too.

Yeah we ordered them too. It's been 8 weeks and we don't have them yet, so we can't even check up on where our application is at. Disappointing.
