Finally i got an AOR2 after more than two months since the AOR1. Somehow it gives me hope after a long period of waiting which made me real worry. We should understand that we all have different cases and will be dealt differently from other applicants. Each timeline matters. Have a pleasant day everyone. God bless always!

Maybe the officer is just slow to update the system and notify you! Try to stay positive!

Any movement, guys? :)

Still the same for me prvc. Nothing change. I hope by next month. Fingers crossed.

I hope so, too. My hubby ordered GCMS notes last night.. Hoping to see progress on the notes..
When are you planning to land, bukayo?

Isnt it too early to order GCMS notes?

I order mine Jan 5.
Reason being My VO doesn't send AOR2- and the medical line still says in Review on MyCic.

I just want confirmation/ assurance that my file made it to the VO. even if there isn't significant movement or comments

Some would say yes.. :) But for me, it is just the right time. Straightforward apps from our country get processed within 3 to 6 months, and I'm pretty sure there'd be some info there that would help me keep my sanity intact. Haha. I'd like to see the personal notes of the officer about my case and my relationship with my sponsor. I know someone from our country who ordered the notes much earlier than I did.. And that person was able to see the glorious "Recommend Passed" and "BF relationship" on the notes. :D Just those two phrases and I'll be damn fine. ;D ;D

LOL, I agree. Well, I e-mailed my Visa office and they said it is The file is still in queue for initial screening. Once this is complete, we will advise of the next step.

So, I guess I will order the notes towards the end of February. my husband visa office processing time is 10 month...it was 9 months when we initially submitted the application but changed to 10 months in November.

I, the sponsor, only got the SA email and the rest went to the principal applicant. She got the AOR2, Request for additional documents, and PPR.

Edit: forgot to mention, for some reason AOR1 went to the principal applicant as well.

Wow! xtreemboarder- cant believe you have your visa already. congrats really happy for you.
When do you plan to land?

Thanks. We're really not sure at the moment. The COPR expires in October, so there really isn't any rush right now. I'm currently making a pretty decent income and I want us to move back with a good amount of savings. My partner is considering enrolling in University there so there really is a lot going on right now.

Exactly. :) I hope you receive the notes on time. :)

got my notes yesterday- took exactly 29 days as i requested them on the 3

and as i suspected, our file is tucked away in the registery. criminality and security in in not started status; but my medical has been in progress since dec 9th.

should i be concerned that medical hasn't been completed yet?

Wow. What are they doing in your VO? :O :O :O
What is the usual timeline in Dakar? Have you noticed any personal notes yet from the officer? It should be the last page. Any due date you've seen?

No, you shouldn't worry about your medical yet.

i swear my VO is sleeping. urgh

processing time keeps changing since we applied, first 16 months, then 14, now 15. with the new change in affect as of dec 7- i've lost track.

we have personal notes for myself (the sponsor)
-sponsor eligibility passed
- no relevant information found (not sure what this means)
- correct fees allocated
- language of correspondence: french
- file sent to VO

due date on medical 2017/12/01
due date on criminality 2017/12/08
due date on security 2017/12/08

does due date mean our account will be seating on the shelf until then.

oh God!!! i can't be away from my husband that long.

I wouldn't panic about that - mine had been in progress since December 7th, and only just passed today, so hopefully yours will be soon as well! No AOR2, either, though I'm not worried about that since I'm following it super-keenly on the CIC site.

Your's is changing at least, my status have been like the following ever since. The VO is slow as hell, definitely sleeping. Haven't even responded to any of my emails.

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Not needed at this time
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

I heard if I had like million I can just pay off and bring my wife here. I'm actually considering selling my body parts tbh. That's how frustrated I am! >:(

My status hasn't moved much in about a month, the background check is in process. My eligibility review passed in just over a month. It's so frustrating to be stuck in limbo at least I have a visa that allows me to live with my wife.
