I'm curiouse about your application! You wrote the processing time for the Israel visa office on spreadsheet 10 months instead of 11 months that the cic website shows to everyone! Another thing that interest for me is about the processing time of your PPR! Time processing for my country which it is Iran is 9 months instead of Israel 11 months. How it is possible that you got your PPR sooner than everybody that sponsored their spouses for Iran! Certainly, something would be wrong! I track the applicants who are from Israel! Nobody could not get the PPR less than 4 months!!! It is again more interesting!!!

It showed 10 months before CIC made the announcement that all pre-december 7 applications will be processed within 12 months.. I think the announcement was about a month ago. For some reason the processing time increased to 11 months on that day.

Thing is other than a user from 2015 there aren't many applicants from Israel on the forum. Someone asked me earlier what's the normal time line for tel aviv VO when my background check changed to in progress and I said I don't have the slightest clue. There's barely any applicants from tel aviv, I checked because I was curious about past applicants and their time lines before we applied.

I had a question for the Israeli brother, the email you guys got. Was it sent to the sponsored persons email or to the sponsor. Also did the sponsored person ever receive any emails before that one?. The reason I'm asking is because my wife (sponsored) hasn't received any email from CIC ever. Only I have. Sooo I'm freaking out. Maybe they got the wrong email or something.

I, the sponsor, only got the SA email and the rest went to the principal applicant. She got the AOR2, Request for additional documents, and PPR.

Edit: forgot to mention, for some reason AOR1 went to the principal applicant as well.

Yep, my background check started and everything prior is ok. I'm hoping it goes fast from here. I can legally work and live in my wife's country til next November so I'm not sweating yet. But a fast process would be awesome and I could catch some of Canada's 150th celebrations.

I see you applied about a month after I did, but the background check with my application did not start yet. When did yours start?

Australian getting everything ready to apply with a Canadian, been living together for two years continually in Canada and 2 3/4 years total, married just over 2 years, i have been working here for 2 years and have until nov 28th 2018 left on my working visa, I believe our situation would be straight forward, we both live together in Ottawa and I'm wondering (1) how long they take your passport (2) what are the chances of getting an interview as I want to apply Outland and want to know if I have to fork out 2k to fly to Sydney for an interview and also if I'm classified as a legal resident to do it here on Laurier, which is 20 minute drive with traffic.

Money isn't an issue, I just want to visit Family in Aus and don't know when to fly, if I do it in two months and risk them asking for my passport, or wait 12 months until application is done.

Hi, I think with the new system in place the time frame is now the same for outland and inland applicants "12 months". I would suggest to maybe apply inland. That way if you get an interview it will be in Canada. Depending how long you want to fly home for would depend how risky it would be for you to leave and then have to send your passport too. If you're just going back for a month or 2 and thinking of going in 2 months I think you're be fine. Sorry I can't help with the Passport length question :)
Good luck.

Please kindly clear my doubts

Yap

if you are sponsoring your spouse, filled out the forms and picked to live in Québec, she will need the CSQ to be approved by the VO. and now the MIDI takes 11 or 12 weeks to treat a CSQ of a sponsorship application
