Howwww did you get it working, my App started processing December 15th, I've literally tried linking it over 160 times (I have four accounts, 5 tries per account * 8 days) but nothing works. I put a space in for the city, I've used 2 instad of 1, I've tired a combo of UCI and App number, App number and last name.. etc. Nothing works :(

I tried it with the application number, his name and birth date. I wrote his name in capitals just like his passport and how I did on the application form. I entered his birth city (which was in all caps because that's how it was on the application) and I didn't enter his passport info. Also, we have a child so I was always entering "3" as people included on the application. This time, I entered "2" and it worked finally!

Wow! That was fast! What is the usual trend in your VO?

Don't have the slightest clue. Haven't found very many people in the forum applying from Tel Aviv. There was one guy from last year who I contacted to get some information on translation and stuff and his application was approved within 5 months of receipt by CIC Mississauga... Maybe this VO doesn't wait around...

received my AOR 2 today. weird thing is on Email it said they received on December 12 2016. but they just send out today Jan 3 2017...

Any updates? Is anybody's background check in progress yet?

Dear Friends, I recently (5 months) moved to Canada as PR. I got married during this time. I started working for the last 2 months. Can I sponsor my wife now? I am confused about:
1. my duration of stay in Canada (5 months) and
2. the job i am doing, which gives me around 1500 dollar per month.

In my situation am I eligible to sponsor my wife, depending on my duration of stay and the income? In few places I have seen they want financial evidences for 1 year so that I can take care of my spouse. Please give me some feedback.

This is what I got from the CIC website:

----
Who can become a sponsor
You can become a sponsor if you are:

-a Canadian citizen, a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act or a permanent resident
-at least 18 years old
-living in Canada
-If you live in Quebec, you must also meet Quebec’s conditions to be a sponsor.
-Able to prove that you have enough income to provide basic needs for your spouse or partner’s dependent children. You must submit documents showing your financial resources for the past 12 months only if the spouse or partner you are sponsoring has a grandchild who is coming with them (see subsection 1(3) of the IRPR for more details).

You can’t be a sponsor if you:

-were sponsored by a spouse or partner and you became a permanent resident less than five years ago
-sponsored a previous spouse or partner and three years have not passed since this person became a permanent resident
-are in default of a previous sponsorship undertaking, an immigration loan, a performance bond or family support payments
-are still going through the process of bankruptcy (undischarged bankruptcy)
-receive social assistance for a reason other than a disability
-were convicted of a violent or sexual offence, an offence that caused bodily harm to a relative or you attempted or threatened to commit any of these offences
-are in a penitentiary, jail, reformatory or prison
-are under a removal order
-have already applied to sponsor your current spouse, partner or child and a decision on your application hasn’t been made yet.
----

I'm not sure how the five year requirement works, but you won't need to worry about your financial situation. The only reason your income would matter is if you have to sponsor your spouse's dependent children, or if you are currently receiving some type of financial aid from the government (like welfare).

They still haven't contacted my spouse for a medical request. I e-mailed the Canadian embassy in Colombo with the Application number about 2 weeks ago, they haven't replied to that either. I've never been this much frustrated. :-[

Wow! Usually in our VO (Manila), when the BC turns into IP, the PPR will be received in a matter of hours or in just a day! Well, some could receive it the next day or within the week.. The longest I know was for two months. But nevertheless, I hope for a speedy processing of your app too! :) You are right in saying that any update is still a good update! :)

Manila VO here and we have been waiting after BC turned into IP for over 4 months now... (feb 03, 2016 applicant) but that is only the websites reflection...in GCMS and from requests by our Member of Parliament Background check was actually passed 2 months ago.

Those who didn't do the meds has anyone received a medical request yet? or any good news from anyone after receiving the SA here?
