My Review of Eligibility changed to Review in Progress today. I guess I should expect SA soon. Did anyone else have this change before SA? I thought this came afterwards.

Maybe it's interesting for some people. Today I realised you can look at ECAS using the sponsor or principle applicant details. I always used the principle applicant info to search but you can actually see more details if you use the sponsor. There is an additional field that shows the Sponsor Application Status.

I believe this actually changes first for most people. The SAs are sent out in batches usually, while MyCIC is updated more frequently and case-by-case. Mine changed before I got SA, maybe about a week or two before even.

Can anyone help me with this? we did not send the medicals. In the pdf they sent it says if havent done the medicals to send them. Should we do them now? Are they waiting for them to continue the process or when they get to the medicals they will officially send an email requesting the medicals. Cz that is what i thought they would do when we get to the medicals they will send an email and then we would have 1month to send them.

Plz help thanks.

I recommend doing the medicals before they request them. Waiting for them to request will add time to the processing of your application. Especially if you received something saying "if haven't done medicals, send them", I think you should send them asap.

Please I need help friends...is anything wrong on applicant travelling to another country after submiting his application and continue living there until he get ppr or interview and send his passport from the said country ,which is not country of his origin?
Will CIC have anything to question about even the person send police check from that country but didn't change his address to CIC?

There shouldn't be anything wrong with the applicant travelling, but if you are living in another country you should update your address with cic and you should check your region specific instructions regarding police checks... ours says that you must submit a police check for every country you lived in for 6 consecutive months since you turned 18. So if you're in your current country for less than 6 months you might not have to submit one from that country.

I don't know what's going on with my application because until now I couldn't linked to mycic ; ( very frustrating. . All I can do is to wait wait wait until cic will send me an email. I do hope and pray there's no problem or any issue in our application.

been reading previous posts here, have you got the AOR now? i've got mine within 2-3 weeks. most probably you'll get yours this week. God bless always.

Yes, that is SA. MyCIC doesn't follow the sponsor's application so that in progress is actually talking about the principal applicant's application (which should be processing now that you've received your SA); so don't worry! It means your husband's application is being worked on!

ECAS is an online service that will allow you to check the status of your application. It's kinda like MyCIC but it's not as detailed. In your SA email, there should be a link (if not, go to http://www. cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp <--take out the space between www. and cic). Go there and put the drop down box to "Family Sponsorship" then click continue, on the next page click "check application status". Then type in the details of you, the sponsor. You'll need the application number too, which is in the SA email. Afterwards you should be able to see the status of both the sponsor's application (which is finished but will probably still say "in progress") and the applicant's application. I hope this helps!
