Did you get AOR1? When was your application received? You can update your information on your profile, and you should also add yourself to the November spreadsheet!

I agree that this is frustrating... Waiting is turning out more difficult than putting together the application!

Hi

I would suggest you to call CIC call center because I haven't received an e-mail yet.
I was in same position as yours but I called CIC call centre as it was > than 22 days.
CIC call centre confirmed that SA has been approved.

Same thing might have happened with your case
I received my AOR on 24th. And I've updated the excel. Soon I will update my profile as well.

Hello,

Our records show that you may be a permanent resident (PR) of Canada. This email is a reminder that you must present your valid Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada.

Canadian permanent residents who do not present a valid PR card or PRTD may be denied boarding their flight to Canada for not having the appropriate travel documents.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you return from travel outside of Canada. The expiry date is printed on the card. If your PR card is expired or will expire within six months, you should apply now to renew your card.

If you are in Canada and do not currently have a permanent resident card or your card is expired, find out how to apply for a permanent resident card.
If you are outside of Canada and do not have a PR card or your card is expired, find out how to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD).
Plan ahead and check the processing times to receive a valid PR card or PRTD before your next international trip.

Please note that if you believe you no longer meet Canada’s permanent residency requirements, your permanent resident status must be resolved before you can apply for a visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). For example, if you choose to give up (renounce) your permanent resident status, you can then apply for an eTA or a visa. Learn more about your residency requirements and your options as a permanent resident of Canada.

We encourage you to share this information with your family and friends as we want to avoid Canadian permanent residents experiencing travel delays because they don’t have the appropriate travel document to board a flight to Canada.

Thank you,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Hey guys. 3 days back my brother is law received an email telling him about the missing docs. My sister sponsored her husband on November 17 I believe and after receiving the AOR1, they've received an email that I'm going to paste below.

"For your application, we have identified that there are documents which are missing and we will request. Please take the time to link your application so that we can quickly and efficiently ask for the documents, and you can quickly and efficiently submit them digitally. If you have not linked your application to an online account within 7 calendar days, we will send you an email to which you will be asked to respond via regular mail. This will introduce delays into the processing of your application."

We linked the application as well and it's been 3 days now but we didn't hear anything regarding the missing docs.

You know I believe they are working to really reduce the backlogs. And that is great news for all of us. If you have time to browse some more, go ahead and check the September thread. There are couple of fellas who have been approved from Ottawa VO. :D
This is outstanding news! I'm so incredibly happy for everyone. I'm thankful they are working hard to process applications more quickly.

My application was received by CIC on Oct. 31st, AOR Nov 10, SA Nov 30th.... I'm torn between which thread/spreadsheet I should officially be a part of. So for now, I'll follow both. :)

You can belong to both months/threads. :D Is Ottawa your VO? Anyway, you can edit your profile and input your timeline so people won't have to ask you all the time about it. :D Just go to your Profile and Edit Forum Profile Information. :D We both received the SA on the 30th, but no AOR for me. :) And here's your first +1 for being positive and for sharing the positive vibes! :)
Thank you for the +1! :) I will make sure to continue to spread the positivity!

I edited my timeline and it is now displaying, yay!

P.S. We didn't get an official AOR either, oddly. We were told the date over the phone though when I called.

Wow! Ottawa is your VO, then expect approval by the end of this year or January next year! There are some applicants from September whose apps have been approved by the end of November. Only two months, unbelievable! :) By the way, is your app straightforward (no dependents, first marriage for both of you, all docs required submitted upon filing)?
I just finished reading the Sept thread updates and wow, it looks like they have ramped up focus on family class applicants. We are thrilled!

Our App is super straightforward. No dependants, first marriage, my spouse works for TD Bank, I was educated in Canada a decade ago on a student visa, clear criminal background check, and sent them everything up front.

The only thing we didn't do is pay the final fee (RPRF), so I hope that doesn't make it take longer. Maybe once I get it connected online, I can pay that fee.

I see. You can just wait for them to ask you to pay for it once everything is almost done. Some, if not most, applicants defer the payment, and it doesn't really take long after that. :) But yes, you can pay the fee without waiting for them to ask you to. :)
The place where this will become complicated for me is this: I applied (on purpose) with my maiden name because my US passport and US drivers licence ID's (can't get a BC one) show that name as do my bank cards. However, I'll want a PR card to eventually match my maiden name... and I'll need to update my passport to do this I imagine. So.... it'll be interesting towards the end.

You mean you want your PR Card to match your Married Name? :D If you want to do it the fast and easy way, just wait until your app is approved. Then I believe upon PR Card application, you can update your name. :D Most women who used their maiden names at the start of the application chose to change their names once they are settled in Canada already. :) Nevertheless, you can still choose to update CIC about your name change while the app is in process, most applicants didn't have problems with that. :)
Awesome! I just worried that I couldn't have a PRcard with my married name until l I changed all my American ID's. (Passport etc). I didn't want to make things hard for me when we flagpole lol!
