Permanent Residence

1. We received xxxxxxxxx's application for permanent residence on November 16, 2015.
2. We started processing xxxxxxxx's application on February 2, 2016.
3 Medical results have been received.

Woop woop. eCAS just updated sometime this afternoon. :)

Hello everyone. Seems like i have the same timeline as you are . Now that made me realize I am not so alone.

My eCas said:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2015.
2.We started processing your application on February 2, 2016.
3. Medical results have been received.

I have read the update on February 5... seems like ecas doesnt update on time. It varies.

My question is :
1. Do we get an Email for the acknowledgement of the PR being processed?
Or do we get a formal letter through Mail by using our current mailing address?

I have been checking each day for email but didnt receive any. also checked for mails, nothing.

Have you guys experienced this too?

Not everyone seems to get an email from their visa office.

It's all good! We just have to celebrate the fact that our files are at the visa office and that's another mile marker towards being reunited with our loved ones!

An immigration consultant a friend of mine once told me if an officer didnt give email to an applicant its a good sign but it doesnt mean they are not looking on the papers.. Best of luck to all of us.. God bless!

I have the same exact issue as you. They approved me as a sponsor and my part still says in process. He did his meds upfront 2 months before we submitted the application and still doesnt say received. I really hope KVO picks up the pace. Compared to some of the other offices, its like KVO doesn't even work LOL

Hey Susan,
Yeah, I still have nothing new updated. Ottawa has had my file since Dec 16 and still no meds received line.
I hope we hear something soon.

Smiles!!

Just found this forum recently and I figured I'd add my wife and I's current timeline.

My wife is Canadian and I'm an America.

Our app was received November 06. I did medical and FBI upfront.

My wife was approved as a sponsor Jan 15th.

I show three lines right now:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 06, 2015.
2.We started processing your application on February 3, 2016.
3. Medical results have been received.

We were fortunate enough to use a lawyer and he said the other day ' I think that it will be a shorter processing time than is predicted....' We hope he's right!!

Anyways, best of luck and I hope the process is quick, painless, and easy for everyone.

Edit: I also tried to add our info to the November spreadsheet but am not to familiar with google spreadsheet.

It seems after all I have this 4th line :)

I did't realize, but information is different if I log in using my UCI or application number and MY NAME and if log in using application number and my HUSBANDS name.
If I log in with my name I will see 4th line, if with my husbands I will only see 3 lines :) weird, but I guess that's how their system works :)

Welcome :) is your case special that you used lawyer? Or just to be on a safe side?
Most of us don't use lawyers, so its our kinda of support group to help us trough this waiting :)
Wishing you quick PR :)

As for a google document, just open link in my signature and enter your data then close it :) simple as that :)
or just write your time line here and I will add later :)

I don't believe our case is 'special' since we used a lawyer. Our thought was it was better to invest in a lawyer than to have our application denied/put on hold for incompleteness and we would need to submit it back multiple times, keep paying the gov. fee, and timeline wise. We figured it would be done correctly the first time using an immigration lawyer.

Her cousin married a Brazilian girl. She got through the process in 4 months. We are hoping it only takes that amount of time but the processing timelines online are discouraging.

Edit: I filled out the spreadsheet and it looks like it's correctly populated in there now thanks!
