hello everybody
is there any November applicant still waiting SA like me bcos it got me so worried now...

HI Samola

So depressing i thought the letter my lawyer sent my husband was the SA but unfortunately its just a letter saying its pending approval by an officer. disappointing so now i wait again. hopefully this week.

I received my AOR 2 today from VO :) totally wasn't expected :)

Good morning sorry to hear that mine too kind of hanging but I got a question and need help...

hello forumers
I have a question can anyone help me out...
will the sponsor at any time or point in the PR process be required to sign documentation once PR visa is approved and is it a requirement to sign documentation in order to process for withdrawal of sponsor.
Thank you

I wanted to edit an November spreadsheet, but there are protections in places and I can't edit it anymore. It says to contact the owner, who is the owner? :)

Hi, the sponsor only signs the application to sponsor and supporting forms and documentation that is part of the application package. Once submitted the sponsor is not required to sign anything else, nether during the application process nor after the PR is granted.

In order to withdraw your sponsorship application follow the instructions below. (unfortunately i cannot paste the link but you can find the information on the CIC website)

"Withdraw your sponsorship application
You can withdraw your sponsorship application at any time before the relative you are sponsoring becomes a permanent resident of Canada.

You may be able to get a refund if we did not start processing your application.

Use this webform to request the withdrawal of your sponsorship application. In your request, include your:

Full name,
Date of birth,
Country of birth,
Application Number (if known), and
Relative’s Client ID Number (UCI) (if known)."

I have a few questions about the ECAS "In Process" step for the spreadsheet.

First, ECAS is the the "check your application status via the CIC website" and is gated by UCI (or other) and Family Name etc.'

Second, the "In Process" step for the spreadsheet isn't just that the Permanent Resident Application Status reading "In Process". It's that when clicked through, the status has 3 rows.

Third, those three rows are:
* We received <person's> application on <date>
* Medical records received
* We have started processing the application on <date> (or something close)

ECAS seems to be lagging for us. We have the email stating that SA has been approved and the app sent to the VO (Ottawa!), but her SA status still shows "In Process". Mine also shows "In Process" but only has a single row.

I don't want to make any assumptions here. While I'm pretty sure I've seen direct confirmation of questions like mine, I was having trouble finding it within the 80 pages of this thread. So apologies if this has all been confirmed before.

Also, can confirm - spreadsheet appears to be locked for me too.

Our SA also says "in process" as well. I think this will only be changed once the decision will be made.

I have three lines now, but it took awhile to see them. First it was:

Application received
Medical received

and only after few weeks they added the third line, but even if you don't see it, we all agree it is not a big deal. Probably some visa officers are less organized and don't update ECAS on time.

And yes, spreadsheet is locked. I am not sure who created it and why it is locked, but we can't update info anymore :(

We got sponsorship approval over two weeks ago and it still says 'in process' under sponsor on ECAS. Under permanent residency it switched from application to in process a few days after SA but we still only have one line. So in the same boat.

There's tabs along the bottom, the second page is editable. Someone kept ruining the first page so I had to lock it.

I didn't think so, they would be this efficient, but they proved me wrong..lol Thank you :)

Happy Monday! Hope you all have a good week ahead.

I imagine the thread will get quiet as most of us are through to the waiting phase ...

I hope for the people who haven't heard yet, you hear soon...if you have called CIC and they sent an email to Mississauga, it could take up to 5 weeks for them to action that email...

How often are you guys checking ecas?

I check daily, but trying to drop down to once a week...

I wonder if the new or old process is based on which VO is processing your application, according to that thread we should all be new process... but we aren't....

Personally, old or new... I just want to get to decision made...
