My spouse and I am currently living in Ontario for many years and she is pregnant!!
I would be more than happy if my spouse can get PR before she gives a birth to a baby, so we do not have to pay 15,000 CAD to the hospital

Congrats on the baby! Does your wife have a status in Canada? If so, you should look up and see if your province allows her to qualify for Universal Healthcare. For example, Alberta allows a Canadian spouse to be covered under the health care if he/she has a status that is 6 months or more.

I would wait for them to request your prints. Hopefully you have them by then. I also am waiting for mine from the FBI.

Ok! I'll stick to my original plan then. Thank you so much!! I hope you get your check soon! :)

Good morning all
I checked my eCAS this morning I saw two lines,
Application received on 23/11/2015
We started working on your application on 19/01/2016
now say in process
can someone tell me the meaning bcos I heard others talking of 2 and 3 lines
thank you...

Actually me too it was that status before but it changed today so no.. it means they just sent your form to the appropriate VO and once the VO gets it only then it will change to In Process

Thanks for the info anyway, I guess there is not much I can do as a sponsor as they are accessing the eligibility of my wife.

Assuming a typical sponsorship case will take 18 months, and most of us are very likely to visit our spouses multiple times before the sponsorship can be approved, how do we submit more evidence to the VO?

I have sponsoring my spouse and we sent (outside) application on October 15, a week later CIC sent the application back to us. We did corrections and re-applied the application on November 20. Today, January 21 2016, I received email from CIC saying that "Your application has been received by CIC."

Can anybody explain the next steps of my application and how long will it take to complete the entire process?

Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks fellas!

Congrats to your baby. Is your application inland? I could be wrong but my friend did an inland sponsorship a few years ago and he lives in ontario too, the initial processing time to access the sponsor's eligibility is like 9 months. Hopefully they can speed up the process if your wife is pregnant.

No problem.. i don't think this is necessary if ever they need more evidence they will ask for it so at this point all we do is wait.

Wow so happy for you finally!!!

Thank you so much everyone!!! I won't lie, there were lots tears and anxiety, but my husband is a rock and he really helped me stay sane. This process has been more of a roller coaster ride than I expected and we aren't even at the hard part yet!

Thanks for all the support! I feel like one of the cool kids now!! Lol

Finally, the journey is going to begin for us!! Yay!!
