Hey all! I'm a Nov 20th applicant. What do AOR and SA stand for? Hoping to receive a response this week! :)

AOR (Acknowledgement Of Receipt) is a mail which mean they started progressing on the sponsor's file. And SA (sponsorship approval) is the next mail you'll be waiting for which says sponsor met the requirements and sponsored person's file has been sent to the Outland visa office. Also you can add your infos to the November spreadsheet :)

Hi Guys,

I have sent my application for my wife under family sponsorship in Nov 26, 2015 ( Outland Sponsorship- New Delhi). It was received on 28th Novemeber, 2015. On checking the status at CIC-Immigration website there is no record of any application. Is that normal? Shall I wait a month for their email ( AOR) and then check. Like many others in this forum, I am willing to keep a tab on status. Any expereinced person here who can guide me.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome.

My application was delivered by courier to CIC on November 13, 2015 and I only received acknowledgment from CIC on Friday that just passed. It takes approximately 62 days to receive a response but you should have a tracking number or something from your courier showing it was delivered. I would say that hopefully you will get a response by the end of the month

Good morning everyone. As of this morning, I am able to log in with my UCI number and view my application process. :D ;D :D :) ;) ;D

And what does your say? Mine just has simply "We received your application" Was hoping they would indicate when they started processing it.

Someone earlier said that this is the most stressful part of the whole process. I really hope that is true.

The stress of not knowing if they've received the package (despite having a delivery confirmation) is insane.

I'm hoping that AOR also means that they've done a cursory check and verified that all the documents they expect are included. We ran through our checklists about a dozen times, but there's still that voice in my head stating that we missed something, or filled it out incorrectly.
