Need your help.
My CEC application was received on 20th Nov.
I am on the Implied Status from the last 1 month and the max I can think about this lasting is another 10-15 days. (How can you say that you are on implied status? Do you have a Study or work permit application is under processing with CIC? can you explain?)
My question is:
As my file hase been received, so, Should I go back to my country after the Implied Status is over or should I wait for the AOR to come during the restoration period and then go back? (Implied status is applicable only when your current (study or work permit) application is under processing with CIC and waiting for the decision on the application. The implied status is only to buy sometime for the Non-immigrants due to the high volume of pending cases and there is no time limit for the implied status that says it expires. Implied status expires as soon as a positive or negative decision is made on you Study or Work permit application.)
All replies are appreciated.
I suggest you to consult an attorney.jan17th said:(How can you say that you are on implied status? Do you have a Study or work permit application is under processing with CIC? can you explain?)
I have sent a work permit extension request 3 days before it was about to expire and its been a month, which expains the Implied Status.

You are right that there is no expiry for the Implied Status. But according to the processing time for work permit renewal on CIC web sit, its between 60 to 70 days. I am thinking that they might get back to me with in next 10-15 days aout the result as I dont have the supporting documents. I did this just to buy myself some time to file CEC.
Thanx for asking n making me clear it for you.
After this Impled status expires, I can not work untill a new work permit is issued which does not seem possible as AINP is taking froever(I have been waiting since JAN 8th) and I dont have LMIA.
The more I stay under the restoration period, the more money its going to cost me n I wont have the job after a couple of weeks too.
Please help me guys.
