As long as your documents were received at CIO-Sydney by December 31, 2014 you're all good without any hold on processing your applications. They will still process these applications received on December 31, 2014. Not sure if that date is a working day either for CIC. I would suggest always to make sure your documents should be received with date on or before December 23, 2014 to be a safe bet. Also, make sure your cap hasn't been reached by the time you send your applications.

Best of Luck Folks!!

Well I am not sure about this as if you go to CIC site Caps count they say "Application Received" and they say "These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015." no specific date mentioned I believe of Last date .

Total applications received towards the overall cap: 4,233 / 8,000

Which I strongly believe means they have provided AOR to 4233 applicants till now . Logically think how they will know that how many applications have been received which are not provided AOR ? Correct me If i am wrong.

This is what is in CIC website ""As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 8,000 for new Canadian Experience Class applications. There are also sub-caps of 200 for each National Occupational Classification B applications. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.""

If I'm not wrong, what they mean is "They will accept up to 8000 applications until December 31, 2014 with each sub-caps of 200. Say, if the cap is reached before December 10, 2014 they will no longer process any new applications and will return the applications without AORs. In other instance, if the last working of CIC is reached for the year 2014 they will stop the current CEC method of selecting applications based on the applicant`s experience and English proficiency and will start implementing the new rules formulated with Express Entry 2015. Hence, the applications will be returned without AORs."

If you are Under Skill category NOC 0/A you need not worry about the cap. However, make sure your application should be reached before the last working day of CIC for the year 2014. Also, those who fall under the caps should make sure they should send before their sub-cap filled out or if not, the application should be received by the CIC on or before the last working day of CIC for the year 2014.

Hope this answers your question in detail..!!!

Hi guys... I need some info regarding prospects of my application success... any body with straight forward reply will be appreciated...

WeS Assessment: BSC Canada (For my MSc in Pakistan)
I am a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with almost 3 years experience as an Internal Auditor. Also had 3 year experience after my masters but before CIA as Senior Staff Accountant (MSc was not in accounts but Management Sciences from Punjab Uni. Pakistan).
My worry is I am not taking a big salary so far. but my experience is true and from a good company.
I included job responsibilities of Audit Officer in my experience letter. I had a four year gap from 2007 to 2011 for my stay in UK.
my IELTS is W 7.5 L 7.5 R 7 and S 6.5
Age 32 by now.
My brother is a Canadian citizen.

Hi...Do you have the Canadian experience of at least one year from the last 3 years? If so, you are eligible. But I am not sure what is your NOC code and does you fall under any NOC B or so. So, please give us more details. If you do not have any Canadian experience please follow the FSWP threads.

Can someone please help me to decide whether i can apply for PR via 2171.

I have been in canada for the past 1.5yrs in ICT visa via 2173 since i am doing software architect role.

The cap has been reached for 2173 now, therefore i cant apply for the code 2173 anymore for the current year.

I have 11yrs of experience in IT. Can any one please guide me whether am i elgible to apply for PR in 2171 code.

I want to apply for PR before the express entry arrives. Kindly guide me.

Thanks in Advance,

2173 implies Skill Level A. there are no Caps for this skill level, atleast not in CEC.
