I finally see movement, ;D the information was the following

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 5, 2014.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 25, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on February 17, 2015.

Started processing is different from transferring to the local office???

It's been a week since they started processing your case. Did you find it right away in ecas (on Feb 17), or this is updated fairly recently (like yesterday or today)?

Yes, the fourth line will say transfer. My understanding is that they are now doing your background check

if they do background check during this time (around 10 days) what they do for the rest of the process :D

Literally nothing! Just ina pile waiting to its turn! Or better say when officer feels like it. I know that the most extensive background check for federal takes one month! There are not doing rocket science!

That is why they increase the fee so they can hire more officers to just finish the piles!

Hi AsianIndian,
I received AOR via email. They also sent me the link for Discover Canada book. They said they will not be sending it by mail as I provided my email in the application.

Yes, you need to put PAXXXXXX for PR card to check application status.
