I received the hard copy Discover Canada. it took only 4 days to be delivered since I ordered it. I hope the whole process works like that.
I'm waiting my IN Process Status to be updated and my file to be transferred to local office. I hope this will happen soon.

For checking the status on E-cas, are you using the PR card number on the back of the card? or the client id number on the front of the PR card?

Yesterday I checked my mail and there was a RQ sent for my wife only
. The letter was sent from Scarborough immigration office. The problem is that my wife neither worked here nor attended any school. She is homemaker taking care of our family ( 2 kids ). I was thinking that having 2 kids in school with all documents I sent with the application would suffice for her. Anyway, I will try to fill the form and collect all required documents and send it the earlier. I’m not sure what are the documents that need to be collected in this case and will be enough to convince them. She has a continuous visits for the family doctor and dentist as well. I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Many Thanks everyone.

Didnt unnderstand the RQ - CIC want more info on your wife living in canada?
Even if your wife was working what extra details would have put in the application? as we are not asked for any t4 or any exp letter along with that. Havent you put the PP copies of her travel history?
May be now you can submit your family tax return statment or docotor information
Also noticed that without the "file transfeered to scarborough office " line in ecas your details are already in local office (Quite surprisng as we share almost same time line and i see only 3 lines in ecas)

My wife and son received the AOR email yesterday morning (Feb 2 2015). Our application was sent on the 6th of November and received on the 10th of November. Since my application was also included, but I didn't receive an email, I called them today and they confirmed that my application has also been received. On an interesting note, I was told that an email was sent to me as well - though I never received it.
For those who plan on calling CIC to follow-up, please note the following (only applies if you are using the English menu):
Call 1-888-242-2100 and then after the message in french is complete, use the following menu options in this order (you have to make sure that the menu changes before hitting the next selection and don't wait for the entire menu)
1-1-5-1.
I called twice and waited paitently to listen to all the options before making my selection. By the time I got to the end, I was told that there is a wait time and I should call back. On the third time, I tried the above technique and got put on hold to wait for an agent, which took about 8 minutes.
Please note that I am not advocating rampant use of the CIC number to check your status. Use your judgement

Patience is the key. It takes 1 to 4 months to receive acknowledgement. If you still would like to call CIC, call at 1-888-242-2100
CIC automated system @1-888-242-2100 is stating that they are processing applications received since 5th November 2014. I hope you will get your acknowledgement in couple of weeks.
