Hi everyone
A general question to everyone
I am feb applicant and wondering how long did it take you guys to get reminder email for PCC or RPRF from CIC after application submission and how long after that you guys got IP?

Please advise :D :D :D :D
Me getting worried sick

Still no DM :(. Maybe tomorrow...

Just Checked Ecas

finally in process from 2 July. ;D

what a relief...

I was worried about my RCMP fingerprints they had it, but nobody put it in my file so it means it took them 1 months to put my rcmp fingerprints into my file.
it reallly sucks when you have already sent the documents prior to the CIO request and they asked it again.

anyway bundle of thanks to god.

Congrats on getting to IP. I'm Nov 15 and I'm still in Application Received status.

Regarding RCMP fingerprints, did they specifically request this in the original PR application?

Mine only asked for PCCs for countries that I have lived in for 6+ months OUTSIDE of Canada. This included FBI clearance from the US, which did require fingerprints, but from an agency, not the RCMP. I emailed CIC and they confirmed that they received my PCCs, but didn't mention anything about RCMP.

Was I supposed to obtain and submit a PCC from Canada with fingerprints as well?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think you should still get that from RCMp and send it if you have lived in canada for more than 6 months. Almost everyone here in this forum has sent it. Just before making your Application IP they gonna ask for it so better to do it.

My name was very common I knew that I am gonna get RCMP fingerprints so did it prior to their request.
They (CIO) sent me an email regarding a new IMM 5669 form and RCMP fingerprints but my bad luck was that they already had my RCMP fingerprints and I guess it was not in my file so they requested again.

The best advice I can give to you is go for RCMP fingerprints in order to avoid delays. The contents of email was

RCMP Criminal Record Check: If your residence period in Canada has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide a certified criminal record check You must provide a certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. Please check the CIC website (Obtaining Police Certificates) and refer to RCMP certificates in Canada for details on obtaining a RCMP "Criminal Record Check".

Consult http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm for detailed instructions.

I hope it will help you.
