My PR application in process and I received my BOWP. My visa is expiring in Sept 2014. Could anyone send me the link for extending my visa. Should I apply for TRV or any other visa type is applicable.

If you have plans to leave the country then you should apply for Visa.
1. You need to create an online CIC Account
2. THen login into the account http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp#login
3. GO ahead and apply for TRV in there, most of the stuff is straight forward.

One Important read from September 2013 Thread.... posted by fenil.

"I was talking one of my friends dad he is immigration lawyer.
cic divide each month applicants in 13 month time frame

50% get visa in 7-8 month.
Another 20% in 9-10 month.
Another 20% in 11-12 month.
And rest on 13th month..

As he said they have to use entire time frame.

If your file passed 13 month that means something must be pending from your side. your file is moved away." - Fenil (Sept 2013 Thread)

Thats helpful thanks for that info

What I understand that if your medicals sent to review to RMO then they usually take 4 months to review. I conclude it after reviewing my GCMS notes.

Could anybody clarify.
Can Status be "Medicals have been recieved" even though they refer medicals for review by RMO.
or if medicals referred for review status will be different.

No, you are not eligible for a BOWP because a necessary clause to be eligible is that your current work permit is expiring within 4 months.

How long processing can be delayed if CIC request for PCC.
In my case i got email from CIC on June-6th-2014 that PCC are pending and need to be submitted by Aug-6th-2014.

Since my attorney already mailed original copies of PCC to CIC on May-23rd-2014 he replied confirming that
PCC mailed to CIC with delivery details and who recieved at CIC (scanned copy of Fedx delivery reciept attached).
also attached scanned copies of PCC in confirmation email.

On June-9th-2014 i got request for medicals, on June-13-2014 request to pay RPRF.
I completed both and since June-30th-2014 ecas status says- In Process "Medicals have been recieved" .

I do not see any communication from CIC since then.

After that we dropped 2 more emailes confirming the delivery of PCC to CIC and requesting them to confirm
that PCCs are attached to my file but no reply from CIC.

Can anybody clarify what might be delaying the process.

Thanks in Advance.

There are may factors affecting the processing. It really depends on the officers handling it.
In my case, one of my PCC already expired when I submitted my application, but still the VO processed my documents and never asked for a new PCC.

All we can really do is wait, just be sure we submit the correct documents.

Results can be sent for review to RMO even after u do to get any call from ur Dr?
My dr told me that if u so to get a call ur results are fine.

CIC has rights to review the results even if the doctors said that they are fine. As per doctor, medical results were fine but CIC sent it to review to RMO. Why I said 4 months because my results were uploaded on 19th April and the Bring Forward date for my file is 19th August. Exactly 4 months.

Hi Vishal,

My medicals were under review and this took ~120 days for review completion and ECAS update with medicals results received. You are correct with 120 days estimate. Just thought of confirming the same , since i went through the similar phase.

Thanks my results were uploaded on 19-July hopefully it has not gone for RMO else it will be a long wait.

So does that mean that if ecas shows results received it has passed review as well? Or there is no indicator of the results being sent for review other than gcms

Yes, exactly. ECAS updates is the only confirmation that medicals ( including any review )has been passed.
