Hey guys, i have a small doubt. My spouse is a main applicant and i am secondary. When we applied PR i too was working for an IT firm and my employment status was active....but now i took a break since last month.
So do we have to inform cic if there is a change in the secondary applicants employment status???

Please suggest

Application is mainly driven by the primary applicant. As long as you have given correct employment information at the time of application and you have not faced any of the below situation you don't need to inform cpc.

- name change
- address change
- maritial status

Since your spouse is main applicant you do not have to update your employment situation to CPC...

Application is mainly driven by the primary applicant. As long as you have given correct employment information at the time of application and you have not faced any of the below situation you don't need to inform cpc.

- name change
- address change
- maritial status

got medicals on 6th June
medicals uploaded 19 June

since then no update , not even changed to in progress
i really wonder whats happening with the application
any suggestions?

I also got medicals on 6th of June, but i have been waiting since then for the PPR.
I think you, myself,jasminep, and a couple others might have the same VO, who probably is on vacation.

Hopefully some positive news would come after the long weekend! :

Med sent to CIC on 24th June

Hi Guys,

My ECAS got updated with the following over the weekend.

We received your application for permanent residence on November 19, 2013.

We started processing your application on June 26, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.


Now here's the thing, i had requested for GCMS notes online via ATIP and received it last week. I had not submitted a emp reference letter with my PR Apllication and the Visa officer had noted that i did not have one and there was not enough evidence to show i have been working in the NOC code. But he had noted about the letter of explanation and supporting documents like T4, NOA. His recommendation was 'review required by officer'.

So the GCMS notes i received were from 12 - June which was before i got my MR (26 Jun) and RPRF. I am wondering if the review by another officer cleared my case or if its still under investigation. i have not received any requests for additional documents until now. So does Decision Made mean i m through or do they do it if they reject the application as well? i am hoping they don't close my application without checking with me. i have more supporting documents now and couple of my friends suggested not to add anything to my application now unless asked as it might delay the process.

What do you guys think?

I am sure your application is through. I received my notes on 25th July in which it was clearly mentioned that Medical request raised after eligibility is passed.

Due to privacy act you can only able to see your details in GCMS notes; if you want your spouse details to be shown in the notes you will have to provide consent form (IMM5744E) from your spouse duly signed requesting CIC to release the information. While making request for GCMS notes attach consent form and you will able to see the dependent details.

I am also sailing on the same boat with similar timelines

App Received - Nov 25th
Medical request - June 6th
Medical Received - June 20th
RPRF Request - July 24th
Paid RPRF - July 25th

I have sent an email to CIC on July 14 asking on the next step and I got the request for RPRF on July 24. I got another email from CIC which was the reply to my email that I have sent on July 14. It says that wait and your file is in process....Thanks for the continued patience.

But I think mailing to CIC works for me as I got the RPRF request.

I applied under NOC 2173, seems like a VO issue, IT related fields getting delayed.

yes you are right it looks like IT related NOC applications are delayed, lets hope for the best
