According to Medical Practitioner handbook, your son doesn't need to take X-Ray and blood test.
In my case, my daughter, who is 6 years old, also didn't take X-Ray and blood test. :)

thanks.. really appreciate your answer..
One more question.. Do we need to carry any photos for medical test?

If e-medicals enabled doctor, then just one photo per applicants. Passport size is ok.

I don't need to carry any photos for exam. When I called doctor office, receptionist said that we don't need to bring photos because they will take a picture by Cam.
Ask your doctor office if you have to carry your photos or not.

if doc has e medical service then no need of any photos, as they will take ur picture there......................
better to call doc and ask if they have e-med service or not

Though my doctor was e-medicals enabled they still requested for photos so as to maintain their records with photos and to stick one on the application.
Differs from place to place. You should get it confirmed while booking an appointment with the doctor.
Better ask for all the required documents and fee to be paid( whether by cash or card ) while booking an appointment so that you can get time before meeting the doctor.

Just completed my medical today. The doctor is E-Medical enabled. Dr. Francis Li.

Should I send the E-Medical receipt by Email to CIC ? Or just wait for the doctor to submit the result after a week or so ?

I am still waiting for RPRF.

There is absolutely no need for sending e-medical receipt as it is no needed. I don't think it's going to help you with anything as CIC has to look at your medical results before they take any decision. Now that you've completed your medical, relax. Dr. Li usually submits the medical results in 10 days.

For sending the passport via CanadaPost XpressPost, did any of you get signature on delivery option added to their packages?

You can do landing at any entry point into Canada under CEC. I think only Quebec might be problematic.

My friend used the CIC office here in Dundas for landing which is near our office at west mall Toronto.
Although it took 8 days before he received the docs, it's okay with him instead of going to the border.
You can check there in SK of any CIC near your place if you are not in a hurry for landing.
