Just been wondering if the NOC code is been taken into consideration for Application processing - I see some folks who have their filing dates later getting MRs while some folks who filed earlier are still waiting for their MRs. Anybody else see any patterns?

Not sure about that. My NOC code is 2174. My AOR is on Jan 7 and my MR is on May 28. Not sure about the others who has similar timeline.

I heard from my friend who got PR this year that they take employer into consideration, which means working in large company such as bank get approved faster.

Hi cathzhu,
My NOC is similar to yours, my AOR is for 10th Jan and still waiting for the MRs

App received Nov 28 still waiting for MR, I was told that it will come soon... ???

For all the new people on here:

PPR = passport request
RPRF = right of permanent residence fee
ATD = apostilled translated document
PCC = police clearance certificate
MR = medical request email
PR = Permanent residence
CCP = certified copy of passport
COPR = confirmation of permanent residence
LI = landed immigrant
AOR = acknowledgement of receipt of complete application

Thanks I just updated it

When you land at the border it is 100% approved, but when you receive your COPR it's almost certain that you'll get it unless you do something stupid at the border crossing. Don't be doing any stupid suspicious stuff guys :)

I heard about a guy who applied through the saskatchewan provincial nominee program and went to the border to land after waiting 18 months and going through the application process. The officer asked him where he was planning to live and the guy said that he was moving to toronto soon. At that moment the officer denied his permanent residence and only gave him a visitor visa for 90 days, then he had to leave the country.

The officer did this because under the provincial programmes you are expected to stay in that province for a certain period of time to contribute to the local economy. That foolish guy ruined his future by saying that to the officer. Luckily this doesn't apply to the CEC stream.
