Long time lurker here, just want to say good job guys with all the information. Here's my info:

App received CIO: Nov 28 2013
AOR: Jan 14 2014
No docs requested yet
MR: Soon I hope!!!

I was considering doing the upfront medical but I've heard that some people had to do it twice then, is it really that risky?
When do you think they'll start processing my app?? I'm guessing early June - hopefully I'll have PR by July

you May get medicals in beginning june..You are quite close to getting medical request so better wait for it. Upfront medicals will cause unnecessary stress.It took 36 days for my medicals to get updated on ecas so just wait

From looking at this forum it looks like the majority of people get accepted. Do you think a low salary for NOC 2132 (mechanical engineer) would affect my application? I was working as an engineering intern and had a very low salary as foreign worker. Also I think my reference letters don't match the NOC description perfectly....gives me extra worries...

Well, they do look NOC and Job duties closely. But, Mechanical engineer can do different things so Job duties doesnot necessary need to be exact match. And since you applied under new rule they will contact you before taking decision on file..they can request reference letter or some more documents. Salary wont be a issue

180 for medicals
37 for Xray
40 some thing for blood n urine test

I know doctor raises her rate to 225 for medicals now..

I guess depends on which doctor you go to . Where did you take your medicals???

My friend went through Dr.Sandhu , They charge 280 which includes Xray and medicals, + 40 something for blood urine.

yeah she increased her rates to 225
