I am looking for some information on how the process is going to be for the below scenario

- I have applied for the PR on 7th of November with my wife's documents [dependent/spouse applicant]
- I have attached the copy of birth certificate of me as I had it, but for my wife she has no DOB certificate from India and I had to get the attested documents done based on the support documents of her education certificates. I attached the copies of the education certificates along with the attested/notarized document and sent it to CIC.

My concern is will this attested [government sealed] document will be accepted as proof of DOB by CIC or not.

Normally if you don't have a BC you can do the following:
- Send High School certificate which has the DOB information
- State in a cover letter reasonable explanation as to why you don't have a BC and what you are submitting in lieu

If you have done that you'll likely be fine. Any additional document like the legal statement from parents etc. or any other proof in addition may build a stronger case.
Frankly, there's nothing more you can do, if the birth was not registered, and I believe CIC officers understand that.

I have included the notarized covering letter, proper copy of HS education document and the final post secondary transfer certificate, hope it will be fine.

I have one more thing to ask. I have sent my application for PR without the PCC, as I did not received the certificate at the time. I sent it last week when I got it with a covering letter, stating the reason along with the client id / passport number to the Sydney address. Do i need to send any email to CIC?

No, wait for a couple of weeks. Then you can email CPP-O and check if the document has been attached
to your file or not.

You know that you need to have the AOR in order to submit additional documents tho, right?!

I heard from one of my friends that I can send the PCC when available with the client-id and passport number and not have to wait till receiving the AOR [might take sometime]. Thats the only reason that I sent the PCC with a covering letter, stating the reason.

There's no rush to send the PCC after submitting your application. You have enough time to wait for the AOR
and then submit the PCCs.
There were cases where CIC lost PCCs sent before the applicant received the AOR, as they weren't able to
find the application.

Check the September spreadsheet and see how far they're in getting AORs.

Keep in mind that Christmas is coming up and, likely, the folks in Sydney received a pile of applications after the new restrictions were published. Realistically, I would expect 7-14 days more.
