Hi there, I am also having the same issue, although I havent landed yet (waiting for PPR) and my vacation is not until christmas.Tardis said:Hi! Would like some perspective from other people. We landed on July 14th at Niagara Falls(rainbow bridge) and awaiting PR card. The problem is that we had booked vacation outside of Canada way before and now we don't know if we can re enter Canada without PR card? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there any one time document to re enter the country? Should we just cancel ? Everything is non refundable. Does anyone know how we can contact CIC for email? Thanks in advance!
If you dont have PR card or Visa then apply for PR travel document in your home country.n4ch0 said:Hi there, I am also having the same issue, although I havent landed yet (waiting for PPR) and my vacation is not until christmas.
Anyways, what i have found out so far, is that you shouldnt have any problem to get into the country, due to the fact that you are officially a permanent resident and you are in the immigration system. However, the only issue is that sometimes, if you are from a VISA required country, Airlines might not let you take the plane unless they can verify you cant get into the country; and they only way you can prove that to them is with a PR card or a VISA.
Please seniors correct me if i am wrong.
