Does anyone know when is this strike going to be over ??
I am assuming although they say this strike doesn't affect CEC applications but it is clear that the process did get slower since the time the strike started

I completely agree with you. However hard we try to shield it, but the pattern of processing has slowed down drastically. No clue when the strike is ending.

Agreed.

The issue seems to be that the VO's who were processing PR applications have been made to focus on visa apps while the strike is occurring. Hopefully it will be over soon. There is always some problem!!

I haven't given enough detail on my current work permit.

My Post-Graduated Work Permit expired last year and I had to renew it with LMO confirmation.

My 2 years work permit right now has clearly stated that I can ONLY work for my current company because they are the one who signed the LMO application for me. It even has the company's name printed on the Work Permit.


So, during this time, if I got a job offer from somewhere else, does it still effect my application?

Please let me know so I can reply to my new job position.

It won't impact your CEC application but you would need a new work permit before you could take the job, as you currently have a closed work permit. Don't work illegally - that would negatively impact your application.

It's probably the summer, things get slower in the summer, since people take time off (vacation). Nothing we can do really.
