Yeah today I passed my 8 month waiting period..I have a family so I guess people who are single should get sooner than me

I think that doesn't really slow down the process. What really matters is any doubts about your application visa officer may have. If your case will require review by multiple officers (which is actually a part of routine) your officer will forward the case to colleagues and every forward can take more than a month even though review itself takes ten minutes

My cousin who applied as a family in the end of October under CEC received his medical last Friday. I hope we get it soon.

Great news!! I just received my medical request! I applied on the 7th of November.. so they're definitely getting started with the November applicants now.

As Nov applicant started getting their Medical Request , and there is not much in December ( Based on Open data available at CIC) ,
I think 2013 Applicant will start some where by the Mid of August.... Just hope for the Best

Thank you guys! I was convinced it was a refusal letter since nobody got anything yet.

I got the request from Ottawa and my noc code is 2221
