Your email contents mentions -

Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office as indicated on your application. Your reference (application) number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence.

So, whatever you chose as your visa office in the form, should be where you should be sending the docs.

So we can't sent the scanned to VO directly? and I requested immigration office for processing my application as Ottawa

so the ottawa email mentioned above should be the one. But, please get it confirmed.

I'd both email and mail the documents to CPP Ottawa if it's crucial for your application. If you put Ottawa, then CPP-O is your office and the email address I gave earlier should be used.

The point is that Sydney issued the file numbers instead of Ottawa visa office and because of this it seems faster than before (This has been changed recently because beforehand Ottawa issued the file numbers) so you do not see the email of the visa office in that email.
Perhaps we should receive an email from Ottawa when the application arrive there.

I received my file number on the 21st (yet to update the spreadsheet). It seems to me that this communication is faster than before because the file number email now is coming from CIO instead of VO. The new format also got rid of the "120 day" section. Does this mean it will now take longer to get medical request than before? Under the old format, you should expect something from the VO within 120 days from date of the AOR. Also, is this file number email from CIO considered a AOR just like before, or will a formal AOR be communicated when application reaches the VO? Any thoughts and comments?

According to TO OP25 Canadian Experience Class DOCUMENT of CIC THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO SEND an Acknowledgment from visa office . Please see below

Acknowledging receipt VO

When an application is put into process by an appropriate office, the officer will send an
acknowledgment of receipt letter to the applicant to:
 inform them that their file has been placed into processing;
 set out basic instructions for contact with their office;
 give them a brief outline as to future processing steps; and
 inform them that they can follow the progress of their file via CIC’s e-Client
Application Status web page.

Hey Chandn, so this is implying that the email we got from CIO is not the official AOR then?

I am not sure. Let us see. ;)

luckysingh,

as per your profile info, you have sent your application on 27 Nov
And your post reads ECAS status updated as - application recd on Nov 26 ????
